I guess Ford caught on: Raised the price!

"The new base price when orders reopen will be $48,769. That means the most affordable Pro model sees a $7000 jump from the former $41,769 base price. The Pro isn’t the only model that gets a price increase, as all the models see revised pricing. The XLT now starts at $61,269, and the range-topping Platinum Extended Range starts at $98,669 before any options are thrown its way."

I was a dirtbag waterfowl hunter right after college. Almost the same thing as we'd stuff decoys, wet dogs, waders, and sleep in whatever vehicle we had at the time to get us to the marsh. Also pretty sure both groups smell terrible..... Most people don't always have the ability to buy a purpose specific vehicle but now that I'm older and have the funds to do that it makes more sense.

My brother-in-law just got confirmation that his R1S is “In Transit” to the local service center for his impending delivery.

Maybe where you are. ChargePoint and SemaConnect are the chargers we find near me here in SoCal, and I’ve never seen one with a credit card reader. And the apps are buggy and unreliable.

Every video I’ve seen online are always app based only and the user is usually complaining about how crappy it works.

I’ve already test driven an R1T but I’ll definitely check it out.

A friend of mine is going from a Tacoma Pro to a Rivian. He told me that they have eliminated the tank mode on the Rivian because too many damn fool customers were wearing flat spots on their tires!

That’s strange considering that Tank Turn hasn’t been released.

Camp Mode IS in the latest firmware update though with auto leveling: https://stories.rivian.com/software-update-camping

    Also:

“Surprise! Your R1 now has flood lights. These lights are located on the front of each side view mirror and can be controlled individually. They also work with the mirrors folded in. That means if you’re parked parallel to your campsite, you can choose to fold in the mirrors and illuminate the side of your campground without having to point your R1 directly at it.”

I would think that would destroy the steering components like tie rods.

Can't recall what thread I saw this picture in.

Does Rivian have there own rollbacks?

This looks like the same truck that was carrying an R1T, has no wheel lift and as clean as that bed is, it don't look like they are transporting anything but new vehicles.

Wow! That’s definitely worth paying $90K for instead of a $20 LED lantern or two.

It’s for off road use only and I’m fairly sure your steering would be locked out, in regards to turning the front wheels.

    Right?

I feel like flat spots in tires would be the least of my concerns. Especially since it looks like, for the most part, the wheels are turning.

Moot point anyway because it's never been released and there is, I think, only that one video of it.
