turbo not on yet. tuning is holding me back. would like to reflash stock ecu but very few companies are able to do it. plan b is haltech elite 1500. not messing with any more piggybacks. i need to raise rev limiter 2000rpm anyways

cant post video but those holes allow an insane amount of airflow when the fan kicks in!!! actually took me by suprise. considering my truck has fender liners removed so its less restrictive under the hood then the fan must have a decent amount of pressure to push against to get air out of the engine bay. with skid plates and wheel well liners in place the only real place for air to go is around the trans tunnel which really isnt alot of space

neat thing about going haltech is they off a base map for this engine. that base map is actually the "yaris hilton" tune from mighty car mods

Now that is really cool!

 

Slid into a hair pin with too much sauce and hit a outside dirt wall with the wheel. Thought I bent the rim but the drum still spun funny. Junk yard axle swapped in. Ps. Abs and non abs axles are different on 1st gen. I flipped the new axle seal over so the lip should sit on the collar. Forgot to check diameter between them. T100 trussed axle build will now be given green light incase this fails.

 

Front CVs and knuckles are the same between ABS and Non. Non ABS knuckle has a little spacer that takes the place of the speed ring in an ABS knuckle. A squirt of silicone in the sensor wire hole and it’s good to go. But a Non ABS knuckle won’t have appropriations for the sensor wire and the speed ring can be used as the spacer if it gets lost…ask me how I know and why local NAPA won’t be pressing any more bearings for me.

 

This was the rear axle.

 

Time to save up for a big boy axle. Good chunk of torque was applied there.

Correct. Just adding what I knew on the front end as for ABS differences.

 

Negative. Replaced the sensor. Same outcome. It’s down to the housing insert or wiring. Anyone have a chart for the plug that references the wiring pin out? Any suggestions on a different MAF adapter assembly?

Check the ID of your factory maf housing. Then order that same size adapter housing from Mrp.

 

Would a 3rz Maf housing be the same ID? The OEM Maf did not come with my engine.

 

Not sure. I happen to have my 1999 3rz MAF housing under my seat and a set of calipers handy. It is 70mm at the widest where the sensor mounts.
