I thought I liked the stock TRD OR wheels but the more I look at them, the less I like them.

I think I will start saving for the TRD Pro wheels. Might even consider the bronze, I think it will go good with Lunar rock. But not entirely sure.

I'll try to time it when I need new tires.

    Any suggestions on this?

From Hawaii? Get your 18 inch lift yet?

    Ha!

Hopefully you could just find those wheels locally used.

Haha, I don't run with the sky high crowd...

There's a local shop that sells them new for $1200 a set. Not sure how much toyota sells them for.

That sounds pricey, but being in Hawaii, that may be the going rate.

Bronze on lunar works really well. Maybe try to find a set/copy of the trail edition wheels.

Agreed. The 2 tone factory OR rims are not pleasant to the eyes. I actually just painted 2 of mine this past Sunday. Went with Gunmetal but only did 2 because if I didn't like the look...bronze would be next.20220828_170023.jpg

Yep, I have no OCD. I wanted to see how 2 looked first. I only see one side of the truck at a time. I'll get the other 2 done sometime...lol.

Rustoleum spray paint. There's a great thread on the forum on how to do it right.

Just paint 'em. I used Duplicolor "wheel" paint. Scuffed with scotch brite, wiped with acetone and a tack rag, spray and leave over night. BTW, I painted the center caps too and added black lugs. Been on there about 6 months now with no issues. See if you like bronze for low investment?

Is that a center cap that you bought that clips in, or did you pull the silver "T" off and just paint your own design?

Those are Toyota replacements that just snap in. I was able to mask and trim w/razor blade. I painted them with a sort of plastic "primer" to make the paint stick.

I won't paint them. There's no way I get it to look acceptable to me.
