You don't see any balancing or dry rot issues with these tires? I'm the 3rd person I know that has had these same issues.

Not on a wide scale, out of 1000 tires of any brand, you are innately going to have a few that require a roadforce balance to get balanced, or a few that the internal compounds breakdown quicker than other showing signs of cracks. The wonderful thing about Falken tire is they are a great brand and should an issue come up they stand behind their product. With this said, we cannot speak towards specific situations regarding cracking or balancing issues, this is just from a large scale synopsis.

Feel free to reach out to us here if there is ever anything we can do to assist, even if the tires were not bought from us, we are happy to help.

including our brand, we have seen our fair share of complaints with other brands (BFG, Toyo's, Yokohama, Nitto, etc), whether that be quick wear, balancing issues, or traction. You will also find praises of the tire exceeding it's mileage warranty, traction needs, smoothness, and/or value. While all brands strive to provide the best quality product, it is a mass produce item where a few will not meet the standards for the customer. In cases like these, every tire includes various versions of manufacturer warranty, treadwear and sometimes road hazard coverage to help resolve the issue.

Should you purchase a Falken, you can always reach within TW, as well as our corporate office at 1800-723-2553 ext 2 if you ever come across an issue. We'll be glad to help.

I had falken wild peaks on my tundra. They were great tires as far as traction and life goes. But man they were so LOUD as they got older. I probably won’t get another set when I’m due for new tires on my Tacoma.

Both our data and Falken is showing that tire starts at 18/32nd from the factory in the C range.

Most, if not, all aggressive AT's geared for more offroad will get loud.
Think the only one that I've heard that stayed quiet are the Michelin Defender LTX AT2's, but they are more a on road AT.

Did you rotate them? I do it every 5k miles and haven't noticed them getting much louder with age. On my third set now at 25k miles. First two sets were down to 4/32 after 45k miles at which point I replaced.

They got loud around 50k maybe?
When I traded my truck in they had over 70k on them. I rotated with every oil change.
They really are a great tire. That’s my only complaint.

This pic was taken just last week when I traded it in. Plenty of life left in them even after having 70k on them.

I have a set of 285/75/16 AT3w on my 2002 Silverado. Best tire I've ever put on it. I do a lot of snow driving in WA. Definitely better than the Cooper ATPs and AT3 XLTs before. The Falkens are heavy tho.

In regards to my 15 DCLB, if Falken made a 255/75/17 it would be a no brainer.

I've searched this thread and haven't found much on 245/75/17, does anyone have photos or opinions?

Very close diameter to the 265/70/17 and a touch lighter in non LT versions...

Would love to hear opinions on my 245/75/17 vs the 265/70/17

    Cheers!

@Kyle_ , the SL Falken Wildpeak is a 4ply rated tire with a 2ply sidewall. I hope this helps.

@Kyle_ although it boasts its Durawall Technology, the actual construction would still be 2 ply unlike the BFGoodrich with its Tri Guard sidewall which gives you a 3 ply sidewall.

My search skills seem to be lacking. I see a lot of folks going bigger than stock and I'm curious...

265/70R16 is stock for me. I see a lot of 265/75R16 in this thread. Gain 1" in height and 3.3" in circumference. What's that get you?

Any issues with rubbing on a stock '16 TRD Off-Road with the slightly larger tires? Thanks!

You should be good moving up to that size. Most people don't experience any rubbing. Some people have to remove their OEM mudflaps to avoid rubbing.
