Got the sewing machine dismounted, also found out where it was made

Had one of the biggest, brightest rainbows ever yesterday. A double as well.



The recent wax job is working good.

 

My mother had an Atlas branded machine, made in Japan that looked very similar, I believe they were a Singer clone, it was always smooth and quiet. She made clothing for the family for many years with it.

My aunt won the machine in a school spelling contest shortly after WW2 and gave it to my mom when she came into the family.
I still have it, Mrs Green uses it occasionally -- each decade or so...

 

I had baby girl here with me about a month ago, she came to me and ask if I had an old sheet. I said for what? She said I want to try the sewing machine out

The PO of my truck traded it in on a malibu.

 

Reminded me of this from my commute to work last fall. The Bridge is over the Connecticut River into VT. Covered bridges are the bomb!

I never noticed until yesterday and yours is the same way, the rainbow to the right, the colors are reversed. Almost like it's a reflection from the main one or something.

 

I believe it actually is a reflection. But I could be wrong. I've been known to be wrong.

I plan to... were it not for my presence, there would be several cubic feet of oxygen that would not be turned in to CO2 and thus, giving life to plants & trees!
