My point was concealed carry means concealed. Dark tint those windows to avoid prying eyes.

Well I work during the day so an emergency pick up for the kids would be handled by my wife but it still wouldn’t be a problem because I don’t take my gun to work. And I have never really thought about it but I guess it is pretty incredible that I know where I’m going when I leave the house and know weather or not I should have a gun. I have never considered it a unique skill but I guess I’m exceptional. Thank you hook you have made my Sunday. So what brands do you fellas consider top of the line for these things?

In Texas, it’s just damn weird to see a vehicle without the front windows tinted. I can’t recall having ever bought a new vehicle that didn’t come tinted all the way around.

My Florida dealer actually tints window when vehicles arrive.
If you do not want tint they remove it.
But 95% of vehicles here are tinted,.... its a sun thing

And the ones that advertise by putting a sticker in the back window of the make of pistol they like. May as well leave the pistol on the dash when you go into a restricted place

There are a lot of states where unless one has a carry permit, a hand gun must be locked up while traveling.

True. The problem is in transporting across state lines or in states you’re not allowed to carry it must be cased unloaded and locked in an area of the vehicle that is not accessible from the cab. Trunk or attached toolbox is ok. Glovebox and center console are not allowed and the weapon can’t be stored loaded so in that situation you would still be in violation. I do see the potential value of one though for some people that choose to leave their gun in the truck. It’s definitely better then not locking it up at all.

I keep my gun in the console safe. And I’d I need to lock my keys in there like when I go kiteboarding, the console safe is the perfect spot. My new Tacoma is going to have the key pad on the windshield so I can lock the keys in the safe and not have to carry them with me to the beach.

Not entirely true. In my state you can have a handgun in a locked glovebox or in a locked safe in the passenger compartment without a license.

Go Fish, the problem is that other states are more restrictive than your state..Each state has its own laws regarding transporting a firearm. What is legal here in AZ is certainly not legal in NJ, NY, CA etc.

It is entirely true fish. Console safe’s is not a universally legal method for transportation of a firearm. You have to check the laws of the state you are going to be traveling through.

I have the OEM safe. It fits my Glock 43X, spare mags, knife, light along with a back up S&W J frame and two speed loaders. Plus my registration and insurance. I really like it. Lol I can't carry my 1911 on my hip anymore let alone stuff it in that safe. It holds a decent amount if its miniature stuff. I had the dealer install it when I bought the truck. Forgot how much it cost. It's not bomb proof, just some protection (I hope) from thieving assholes lookin for a quick smash and grab.
