It's supposed to be the 2nd flight of Vulcan....I have slim hope to see it fly in less than two three years...

Well at this point, as far as Boeing is concerned I'm hoping for a successful flight, but I'd laugh my ass off if it went boom...

That'd be a shame. A very expensive, wasteful shame.

Do you know if Vulcan have gotten their BE-4s yet?
During the NSF stream of the Booster testing today, someone was trying to troll the chat by saying that SLS had fallen over.

Getting shut down with much of A2 and A3 ready for assembly would suck. Starship is still a chicken yet to be hatched and I’d rather not see the powers that be start using the hatchet indiscriminately. It will need more funding and additional contracts to keep going, Starlink alone won’t do it. We need Artemis to stay on track at least until Starship is crew certified. I’m thinking that’s 3-5 years minimum after Starships begin carrying payloads for that certification. That includes HLS. When Artemis does launch I think it will fly just fine. Getting these problems sorted out so they don’t plague future missions is critical.

They were also joking that engine 3 wasn’t cooling.

They have 2 they’re testing now. No idea on any subsequent engines.

So how many seconds of static fire are they up to now? 40 seconds? 50? Out of 135 total allotment. Spin prime boom doesn’t count.

Looks like I got my wish and Artemis was scrubbed on Monday. What’s the probability of launching on Saturday? It’s a 14hr drive so I don’t want to have to drive down there more than once.

I guess it was a 4 engine SF yesterday. Not very often NSF gets this wrong.

Depends on who’s reporting as I’ve heard both 60% chance of a go and 60% chance they will violate weather restrictions. They seem to have convinced themselves it’s a sensor problem on the bleed test and that the umbilical leak is surmountable but there was also a stuck vent valve they no longer seem to mention. It’s a risk/reward question, are you more willing to waste a drive than risk missing the launch?

Boeing is obligated for 2 launches under contract and this is a fixed price deal so every extra mission awarded to Spacex comes out of a limited number of the remaining chances to get paid for them. Plus we still don’t have a reboost option for ISS, which was something Starliner was supposed to provide that crew dragon doesn’t.
