We've got ghost growing at a snails pace but that's kinda been how everything has been this whole season. Seems to be what most locally are experiencing as well so at least I'm not alone but it's frustrating.

And I'm sure that chip will cause me great pains...likely on camera and possibly video... We shall see. I'm kinda sorta looking forward to testing myself. In some areas I'm a total spice baby and others I'm like pour more of this shit on. We'll see how bad the burn is.

Can't do it yet cause we're going camping this weekend and I think it may be in my best interest to make sure we're at least home for a day or two after :D

I need to rebuild my tolerance. I wouldn't be ready to eat one raw, but I would use it in some good chili or similar.

About 20+ years ago, I did something a tad foolish. I made pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. I wanted some serious heat. I took some Dave's Insanity Sauce (the original one) and mixed it with almost equal amounts of Pico Pica (low heat, but one of my favorite for it's flavor), and added liberal amounts to my sandwich. Yeah, I learn't that was a bad move. I wasn't ready for that much heat at that time, and I almost puked.

Sweet, thanks for that tip as well. My wife is not a heat freak, but she loves Mexican as much as I do, so we'll give them a try.

:rofl:I did the same thing! I think I was 14 and I didn't read the label which was pretty clear it was intended to be something like a drop per dish and here I am putting it all over my Chinese food.

That pain is unforgettable. Other than an extract sauce I bought a few years ago I haven't ever had anything with that level of heat again. What a stupid sauce that was.

I knew full well what Dave's was - all about the heat, flavor be damned! I was probably early to mid 30's when I did what I described. I mixed in the Pico Pica because I wanted flavor, not just heat.

A friend of mine who grows what he believes are ghost peppers, and makes homemade salsa with them, gave me a bottle about 10 years ago. It was hot, but not any more so than a habanero. I didn't say anything to him, but I seriously questioned the full authenticity of the peppers. I love heat, but I need flavor, too.
