"Secondary" implies that the *Primary* bump stops are still necessary, does it not?

Guess I need to call them. Would be cool if your interpretation is correct

They do have built in bump stops. I have them and they work well.

The question isn't if they have built in bumps, I have them as well and agree they're great. The question is if the built in bumps are suitable to be the only bumps(removing the stock pucks entirely) or if they're supposed to just dampen the hit before the stock pucks limit travel.

Valid questions. Wouldn't want to limit up travel. Also save some money on traditional bumps or quite a bit on hydro bumps

I blew my driver side B8100 out. My local shop could not rebuild them with a new seal kit. Bilstein was not taking on any repairs due to the lockdown at the time, but they stepped up and repair them after talk to my local shop. Not sure what happened to them internally but it was pretty major. You can see my previous post for pictures. If you’re running additional weight you definitely want to keep the factory bump stops on. Or make sure the rear leafs are set up for the additional weight. Shouts out to Dallas Offroad for facilitating the repair through Bilstein. I got everything back up and running with the B8112 up front and B8100 in the rear, and they ride like butter!

Finally got around to asking bilstein about the OEM bumps. Their response was that the OE bumps need to stay.

Ride like Fox or Icon. But perform much better. Best coilover I have ever had.

I would say overall they're more comfortable (than stock offroad shocks), the only road condition where they behave worse is slow speeds over vert small bumps. Everywhere else they amazing.

Bilstein 8112/8100, JBA UCAs, Icon RXT leaf pack, work wheels 17x8.5;-10os, 285/75/17 cooper LTX AT3, Mobtown HC rear bumper and Sliders, SSO front bumper, BAMF greceased grill.
ive had the rears for about 30k miles and 25k for the fronts. I can only compare them to 6112/5160s and its a huge upgrade from offroad and onroad; gravels roads/washboards going like 40-60mph, rock crowling etc.

only issue im having is my 8100 bypass shocks is that i cant tune the shock. The allen screw seem to be stuck for whatever reason on the driver side. Bilstein is aware and i can send them in when its time for me to rebuild the shock.

Oh okay, thats what I like to hear, not many reviews on them for the tacoma, so if you say they are a huge upgrade from stock, and 6112.

    Question:
What are compatible coil springs that can replace the 14" 600# Bilstein 8112/6112? I saw one member use an Eibach 14" 600lb 3.0 spring. Wondering what all the alternatives are...

    Backstory:
Over 60K miles and 3 1/2 years of Michigan salt, here's a good shot of the corrosion. Had a coil break today and trying to find a replacement pair of 600# versions.

    Found out the following:
    e4-fd1-y005b29 is the 600#
e4-fd1-z005b50 is the 700# (almost picked these up locally bc someone was selling them as 600#)

Bilstein warranty for the 8112s are only 2 years, sh*t.

So, I found some shop that rebuild nearby, and Bilstein support said they dont have enough staff to do anything, so they pushed me off to downsouthmotorsports.com to purchase a rebuild kit along with the springs.

I have some original 600lb. springs you can have, but I’m in California. Not sure what they would be to ship. 4WP carries the 650lb and 700lb springs. I upgraded to the 650s.

I have 2 sets of 600lb springs as well. One set has about 100k miles on them, one set is new.

Let me know if you are interested.
