Just to clarify, there is a cable that runs down the a-pillar. Correct? Cause it says no more no more a pillar harnesses in the post. I will be buying this now as it now operates how I like it. Good job!

Yes; the new harness connects to the overhead dome console, but you'll route the wires down to the footwell area using the a-pillar in your wire run. The new harness eliminates the bulky a-pillar connection that was being made in V1.

I must have missed this. Can I just buy that harness somewhere? I'd like to get rid of the a-pillar bulk.

Yes you can! Here's a link to just the harness. It's on the first page of this thread as well.

Thanks, ended up digging and found it JUST before you commented back. Looks like a nice upgrade to the kit. Plus seems like a few had problems with the pillar connection, I bet that's all solved now with this way plus of course the nice switched functionality.

@kmorgan3 how will this affect the @MESO puddle pods (w/ switch) and the splitter harness that I currently have? I am trying to picture it in my head but couldn't...I just don't want to take things apart until I get my V2 harness from @memario1214.

Do I replace the T-harness in the A pillar with the one from @MESO puddles. Then plug this V2 in the overhead, bring down the wire to the A-pillar and connect the splitter to the footwell module?

@MiTacoTRD you remove the Y and the IN1 tap harness, leaving the MESO as it was. New harness gets placed in the overhead console. cables run parallel to vehicle harness from overhead-sail panel- dash to footwell module.

So it’s no longer the WP connector on the end of the tap harness?

Lol, not sure I understand from that one. I get the splitter layout but the giant red X is throwing me off

No IN1 tap T. No Y, no MESO puddle provision.

That sucks. Kinda left hung out to dry on cleaning up the bulk in my a-pillar unless I hard splice the Meso stuff into the new harness or splice in with my own Deutsch or similar connector.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding. Currently I’m using a V1 footwell kit with the splitters just like your pic indicated. I’m wanting to switch to V2 but obviously keep the Mesos. I don’t see how I can do that unless I leave the a-pillar t harness. Part of the reason to upgrade to V2 is to get rid of that bulk but if I need to keep the a-pillar portion for the Mesos, then the V2 is a lot less of an upgrade for me than I thought it would be.

NO, don't do that. Just get a VLED Y for the puddles.

That's why I'm just keep the apillar harness because I have the meso puddle pods. Regardless you would need that harness in the apillar for the puddle pods. I was thinking of upgrading too but like you said it would be less of an upgrade. lol it is nice for people without the puddle pods though and just has the footwells.

Already have that, was wanting to get rid of it because the wiring in my a-pillar is bulkier than I like due to the required t-harness.
