My company truck is a Ram 1500 with a 3.7 V6...My taco has a 4.0 V6. Why does the ram have more power and go, than the Toyota?? If Dodge can do it Why, not Toyota and make it last.

IMHO, Longevity, is a trade off for a bit of get up and go. Have you ever looked into Sprint Booster? It changed everything I didn’t like about my Taco. No more power etc. but sure feels like it and way more fun to drive.

2003 Base Cab. No glove compartment light. No cabin air intake filter. Truck needs to be raised to get at the oil filter. “Lunar Mist” original color for touch ups impossible to find, none match. Nothing else, really.

Other than white paint flaking in various spots, nothing much. My 06 Tacoma Prerunner has been a trusty vehicle making it's way thru several phases of
my life and my needs. Maybe how the tailgate area covered by a shell stinks like my 12 year old GSD!

The engine. It's the slowest vehicle I've ever owned. So perspective is definitely playing into this. Also the factory tune is so, so bad. Gear hunting allllll day. Getting KDMax tune in next few weeks. Can't wait.

The pack of options of other trucks. I know it’s simple and can be modified but no heated mirrors or rear window defrost sucks

the hubs/rims...... I have just over 6000 miles and have lost two since having the 5000 mile service. the service tech didn't fully snap them on well. I don't think this was well designed or thought out by toyota. the dealership replaced the first for free and wanted to charge for the second but talked them into giving me the second one as well.

its $65 .....each..... individual .....one... not for a set, pair or whatever $65 each one. I am now looking for new wheels cause thats gonna add up each time the hub is not snapped back in place just exactly right....

The. One. Thing. I hate about these trucks is that the steering wheel won't tilt any higher to give my thighs more room, or that seat sits too high off the floor. These hamlocks need a little more space.

The peeling paint in spots on my 06 Tacoma or the clear coat coming off the wheel flares. Other than that...nothing else

The only thing is the clock in my 2002 first gen, they decided to put it directly facing behind the steering wheel and windshield wiper lever so you have to move your head to the side to see the time.

Seat belts. If i get in, and pull the seat belt on too fast, it locks up. Drives me nuts.

I tried something that may be causing our problems. Try moving the seat belt adjustment extender at the top and move it down a notch, and make sure it locks in place. That has worked so far on my Access Cab. Please let us know if that helps your problem.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Most of the cup holders on my 2023 are useless, but this seems to be a trend in the Toyota world.

why do I need a key to lock the tailgate?!? I know that my fob has a key in it, but that key isn’t made to be used regularly, so why is the tailgate not power like standard on most other trucks?!?

road noise galore on a stock truck… I know that I’ll make this worse, but it’s kind of sad for the people that buy to keep stock.

***Add - as another member mentioned previously, the roof having ZERO sound deadening is insane... I guess I will be doing that as well.
