It wasn't Toyota, the dealer probably held at least 2% points. Since you did not want it to buy any back end products they got as much as they could there.

They did not want it to give you the special rate, they held points on it. With an 800 score you can easily get that, 720 I think or 740 its what is need it for tier 1+ for special offers. The credit union story is also bologny, some people uses that just so you buy the product since its the same. You can cancel both the extended warranty and gap in a few days. You can also go to a local credit union or check rates online, if you have the 800+ score plenty of places will be happy to get your business.

Boooo. I’ll try again in a week. Safe to assume that delivery window of 9/4-9/9 is a no go

Ready for pick up today! I’m taking it home tomorrow… feeling fortunate to have had a relatively smooth experience compared to what I’ve read here.
Journey started on 7/27, offered a pro because no off roads on allocation, was built 8/8, and delivered to dealer 9/1.
Hopefully no crazy business like above tomorrow but I’ll report out.
@Rod03 bonus headed your way tomorrow, thanks for the support bud!

It's funny huh? Well there's no early prepayment penalty so I can guarantee that loan will be paid off before they even get the first payment

If it were only so simple to "head to another dealership". If you're on this thread you know there's no trucks to be had:rofl:

None of that was discussed ahead of time. The deal was MSRP plus doc fee and tax tag and title. I called a few days before delivery to talk to the finance Department but they said they had to wait till the truck came in to sit down with me. Then they pulled that bullshit where they pull you in a room and try to browbeat you into getting all this stuff. I couldn't take delivery of the truck last night because they couldn't get title so I called this morning and told the sales manager keep the truck I'm not paying that Gap insurance. The sales manager called me and said that I could call Toyota and get a refund applied to the principal of my loan which I'm fine with. I don't think I'm ever going to step foot in this dealership again.
