Favorite Whiskey?

I like a touch of peat, but heavy (Lagavulin 16), just can't do it.

 

What's peat?

 

I like peated, but I dont like to drink the same stuff over and over, peated is good, but after a while, not what I want every day.





I'm not somebody who swishes and chews around on it, I mean I dont chew and move around a good steak in my mouth, so a drink is no different to me. Bourbon, scotch or a good irish (or a good canadian) all works fine for me.

 

I still enjoy a hunt for a good inexpensive bourbon. I really enjoyed Early Times Bottled in Bond when it was $24 for a liter, now its jumped to mid $30's it seems less enjoyable

 

Side note, ever since I signed up for the Four Roses and Old Forester lotteries, my email has been blowing up with spam!!!

That has become my fear of everything lately. LOL

 

Speaking of Scotch and how do you get rid of bottles without pouring them out. My little brother got me this bottle last year for my birthday. If this is what Scotch tastes like then it’s not for me.

Been mulling over. I have a few barrel proof 1792. A local shop has 1792 bottle and bond store picks. Anyone have had it? Is it worth it at mSRP?
