It's getting closer to a "certain event" in November ...

60 forecasted for tonight, time to open the window and turn on the ceiling fan.

    Awesome videos !!

Your truck needs lockers front and rear it'll make rock crawling so much easier !! . A trick I learned when I was new off roading 30 plus years ago is using your e - brake and engaging it 4-5 clicks . This will allow the axle to act like it's a locker by applying resistance to the axles and not allowing wheel slip

Jason's Toyota with the crawl box reminds me of my old 1968 M38A1 Jeep and was geared 123.1:1 overall 1rst gear low range ratio . The transmission was a SM465 granny box 4 speed with a first gear ratio of 6.54 . The t/ case was modified Dana 18 with 3.50:1 low range . The t /case also had a Warn overdrive so I could easily split ea gear and that made it 12 forward gears and 3 reverse gears . The Dana 44 axles had 5.38 gears and Detroit lockers and the rear axle was set up as a full floater with locking hubs

I used to Rock crawl with Marlin from Marlin crawler fame and I learned to do the walk the crawler routine and it was fun doing it LOL !!

Here's a pic of my old Jeep at Corral Canyon OHV Park in the East County of San Diego back in 1995 . No one could climb this hill and I gave it a try and easily walked right up " idling" in first gear low range

A little of this and a little of that.
    Good evening all

Holiday traffic was terrible on the drive home today. You have one job if you are sitting behind the steering wheel people. :annoyed:

I always say that I’m working until lunch on the day of my funeral. o_O

Dammit that’s hot. Safe travels to the Villa Andy.

Awesome videos of your truck Dan, and all of the trucks. Jason’s truck with the crawl box is cool.

That trip was 2 weeks ago. On our trip back in June my truck did that rock and hardly spun a tire. This time I was about a tires width off track.
Ya, we had a good time. Good bunch of people. Nobody was pressured into doing anything they didn't fell comfortable doing. We have another outing later this month at a different location.

Tell my wife I need lockers.

Circle K was having a $.40 off sale from 4 - 7 pm, that's why the prices so low. Heard the lines were long around here.

At home it was 92*, had to drive 100 miles in the damn wind and climb the continental divide but I hit the halfway point for my weekend drive and it's currently 71* up here. Feels awesome.

Sucks the highway is less than 1/2 mile from camp and it's super steep so I get to listen to semis struggling to make the climb all night
