What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I don't have experience with either of those but the cost is pushing what you could get custom valved Kings or Foxes for. Just saying.

 

Whats your favorite aesthetic mod? Mine is a tie between the Winjet tail lights and the trd skid plate. My cosmetic mods are: black/red tacoma tailgate inserts. Winjet taillights. Black bumper covers(removed the fake chrome ones). Removed chrome tacoma and v6 emblems. Installed Trd rear license bracket. Installed Trd hood and tailgate emblems. Raptor lights in the grill. Trd pro style Offroad door emblems. Trd pro wheel center caps. In channel wind deflectors. Bug deflector. Sunroof deflector. Black trd pro skid plate. Demon brackets with red andblack shackles. Sokie tech hood struts. Toyota front and rear mud flaps. Trd Offroad fuel cap holder. Trd Offroad door sill protectors. Trd pro manual shift knob. Anodized red a/c trim rings. Center console safe.

 

You can’t see much of it by this point, I’ve already got my wheels loaded up for the tire store.

Thanks. I tried to stay with the color scheme on the truck. Granted, the only red that was on the truck was on the trd offroad 4x4 decals. The trd wheel center caps gave me the confidence to do little touches in black and red. I am also a UGA fan, and those are our colors.

 

The license plate frames give a nice finished appearance so I painted over the dealer name.

 

Washed the truck.

 

I would argue with you about that, but... You picked the most awesome color for a truck, so I won't.

I bought a TRD offroad frame for like $5. Im glad I got my truck new. Only 6 miles were on it. No dealer logos had been installed, only a dealer license frame. My dad bought a brand new Ford Ranger Two Weeks Later and whatever dealer he bought it from slapped their logos all over his truck. Why the hell would anybody want the Dealer's logo on their truck? Unless the Dealer's name is Hennessy. Even then I don't want the dealer's name on my truck or vehicle.

 

Added a custom mod to the passenger door just behind the Tacoma badge…not sure the purpose yet

 

Very true, i've been looking into those kinds of kits too, my only hold-up is the future upkeep with Fox/ Kings. I know that the Dobinson's can go much more than 50K miles before needing a rebuild but they're also a bit pricey for the whole kit. They're just too many choices for suspension now and it's hard to pinpoint which would be best.

Yeah that’s true. I have 6112’s now but Kings are ordered, I plan to save the 6112’s and swap them back in when it comes time to have the Kings rebuilt. Will probably swap coils to 650’s though, these have sagged a bit. 6112/5160 combo would probably be a good setup for you too.

 

Should be able to pop that back out if you remove the door panel.

 

That’s what I was thinking too. There’s a couple smaller dings also. Met a guy coming the other way on a logging road and there was a hidden log I didn’t see until it snapped under my tire and smacked the door

 

Test fitting my stage 2 wings. Prop to SSO for sending me a replacement one. Will be installing them this weekend.

 

I don’t know what it is but the pic makes the truck look odd. The bumper will look awesome with the wings. That’s the bumper I want but I’m too cheap. Lol

 

Whenever I buy a new vehicle I tell the dealer that I will leave their logos on the vehicle as long as they give me free oil changes every 6 months or 5,000 miles. None of them had ever said yes so I have never left any of them on.

 

Rear seat jackers went in today… they interfere with my Smartliner mats.

 

If they fit on the front seat, I might buy them
