Making sure I bring tools home this weekend so I can get some truck stuff done. The air pump relocation is 95% done.

Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone!
This is my first Labor Day weekend in a while when I'm actually going to have a Monday off at work .

 

Me too. Had a 4x2 1985 for many years. Frame rust finally killed it. Same interior.

Back in the 80's I worked at a Honda dealer. Woman came in for an insurance estimate. She worked second shift and had gotten a take out fried fish dinner for her break and had left the takeout container in her car. Came home, rolled up the windows, locked the car and went to bed. Didn't notice THE RACCOON in the car. He wanted out. Chewed up the seats, the rear shelf and the rubber weatherstripping around the windows. The smell...OMG! Can't remember if the car got repaired but every time she was in she was referred to as The Raccoon Lady. Did I mention the smell

BTW, your boy Miguel Oliviera is leaving KTM and moving to an Aprilia team next season. Bodes well I'd think. Aprilia has been a very competitive bike this season. With all the Spaniards in MotoGP its good to see a different Iberian get a good ride.

 

I saw that when I was in Portugal, or right after I came back, that he was moving.

New alternator went in easier than the old one came out. Surprised the alternator bolts were only 16 ft lb.

Battery charged while I was working on everything. Battery measures 12.73 volts with the truck not running; 14.18 volts running so everythings good. Aside from a smashing my finger good.



Old one going back to the dealer for a core credit back and I can also return the new serpentine belt I grabbed since the current one looks great.

 

Whats the rate for removing dead animals?

 

Depends...do you need a vacuum or a shovel

Just glad the Swamp Azz weather moved out...finally.
Never seen a Summer like this .

Planning on dropping the gas tank in the Nova...again.
Easy job since everything is new.
Appears the new sending unit is off.
Reads half tank when it should read full.
Should have tested it prior to installing it.

Checked the new one and the Ohms weren't where the were supposed to be.
5 ohms off at each end. That's enough to screw up the gauge readings.

Dremel work on the float stops cured that.
Hope this one works and then I'll test the one I'm pulling out.
