Welcome to the Daytons Bluff black hole! There are a few of us with trucks sitting at Daytons bluff waiting for the paint to fade before they will unload from the rail cars, hah.

I wouldn't hold your breath for getting that Sep 6 finance rate. Unless your truck shows up and they load it right away first in last out style which also wouldn't surprise me.

My dealer offered me to close the contract now and lock in the promotional rate. Personally I would never do that but it's an option. I found better financing through my credit union anyway so I'm back to just anxiously awaiting an actual truck.

@Rod03 would you mind checking up on this one again? Supposed to be in transit but no other details. Thank you!

Interesting, I was explicitly told by my dealer that the truck has to be on the lot to lock in financing. If I could find a outside rate that would rival the Toyota promotional rate, I would be content with waiting, but haven't been able to find anything thus far. I'll keep looking.

@Rod03 Thanks for checking, beer coming your way!

That's a drag. I would think if you are waiting on a truck that has been built, you've got the deposit down, but it is held-up in transportation, that Toyota should lock in that rate for you. You want to buy their product, there's just factors beyond both of your control to get product on the premises. And what does it mean to include all trims (but the Pro version of the truck) when the trucks just aren't on the dealership lots?

It doesn't seem customer-centric to me. I'd probably call the engagement center regarding it, but that's just me. It doesn't seem right, but I don't know how financing via Toyota Financial works. Naive I am. I would think even a credit union would lock in a rate. I mean, they do that when you apply for a house. They don't rip the rate out from under you, because the sellers delay moving out of the property (do they?). :deadhorse:

    Hey There.

I'm new here. I just introduced myself over on the Whiskey thread. And I come here because @Rod03 seems to know things. May I ask?

I had been following this VIN. But, I believe that was the temp VIN.

    3TMDZ5BN6NM32A039

I noticed a truck under the exact same description and cost, marked Sale Pending, has a new VIN. I believe this is the real one, but don't know for sure. No one from the dealer has contacted me yet.

    3TMDZ5BNXNM138968

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

Like many of you, my delivery window has come and gone (August 20th-25th) and still no truck. My sales guy is clueless to where my truck is and no new ETA.

@Rod03 You seem to be the man with all the answers. I'd really appreciate any insight on 3TYCZ5ANXNT096593.

Alright, here are the dates as far as I remember:

-End of June, put down a deposit of a lunar rock TRD off road 6mt with tech package. Told 9-months+

-July:. Figured out Toyota's allocation system and started contacting MSRP dealers in a 300+ radius.

-End of July, a dealer told me they got an unclaimed 6mt magnetic grey TRD pro set to be built 7/24, with +3k adjustment. I decided to take after realizing my chances of getting a 6MT lunar rock OR or Army Green were essentially nil.

    -Build first of August.
-Sat on the Mexican beach until mid August
-sat on long beach until end of August
    -took delivery 8/31
    -got dirty on 9/2

@Rod03 - last you checked it departed San Diego a week ago but had no estimated arrival date. Can you check if they’ve added one? 3TYSZ5AN4NT101105

@Rod03 - Curiosity is finally starting to kill this cat and the dealer doesn't seem to know anything beyond that the truck is in transit. Could you check the status of: 3TYCZ5AN5NT099224

Hi @Rod03 ! I’m getting very basic and non-detailed info, and I was wondering if perhaps you can get something more specific? All I know, is the truck has been built.

Took delivery today, things went smoothly and our dealer was awesome and honest. a couple dozen miles home on our local gravel is all she’s seen but I’m happy. Just over 5 weeks total from initial inquiry on a TRD off-road to acquisition of a pro. Wasn’t sure about the lime, but it’s great in person.
Special shout out to @Rod03 for keeping me updated, some juice is flowing your way in a minute!
