Putting the tailgate down gives you a couple more feet of support. You can also get one of those bed extenders that goes in the trailer hitch. I have ladder racks that can hold lumber, kayaks, fishing rods and an awning. No need for crap inside the cab with me.

Dunno, looks like endless options for a center console with that modular table. Kinda diggin the plain ol’ tool box.

I am always covered with dust, mud, sawdust, etc…my Tacos interior is almost too nice, feel like I have to change clothes when I need to jump into it. That will fade after the new wears off. One thing I miss about the old truck, just didn’t give a shit about the interior. The Bollinger looks like you could hose it out, which is a plus for any truck that actually gets used.

Speaking of medicine and EVs. Could you imagine trying to implement a fleet of electric ambulances into a busy EMS service?

 

I can.

Pretty good case use I would think. Likely a bit power hungry with all the onboard stuff, but short trips and quick charging at the hospital drop-off could make it freasible in the near future. Depends on the battery range and how the ambulance service operates but it's certainly not an outlandish idea.

There are prototypes already and a few in service.

I wouldn't rule an EV ambulance out given the circumstances, I think I've seen Transit EVs on order in some places, but those could have very well been gas units. I would imagine a generator would be needed to supply power for the module

I couldn't imagine an EV ambulance would be practical for a service running upward of 50 calls in a 12 hour period. Not on a 100° day.

I just looked at the range for a International eMV, those get a range of 135 miles. I don't think we will be seeing an electric medium duty ambulance anytime soon.
