I added a bead of clear caulk along the edges, and left the edge open to drain.

    Ripe watermelon.

Smell and sweetness and juice and texture all perfect. I like more intense flavor but still really good. Maybe 2 more days on the vine may have intensified flavor but maybe not. Just a product of genetics and sun and overripe mealy is worse!

    willcam47, nice build.
ive started a similar project today and will be using 8’ ‘suntuff’ panels on the roof and salvaged 6x3 glass doors on the walls. design is still flexible
treated wood posts using pole barn style frame dug down 3 feet. grass/dirt floor.
    untreated beams, rafters, purlins.
the greenhouse will function as rabbit house for the winter.
i have snow load, frost heave and wind issues that leave me concerned.
condensation/mould on untreated wood may be an issue.
need airflow but i dont want to see those panels ripped off the framework.
suntuf recommends screws at every corrugation high point.
thats lots of holes to drill.

Sugar sand beaches, on the gulf coast Flori-bama. Zone 8b-9a

We planted a bunch of winter crops and short harvest day plants the past two weeks. Most will be harvested by the 2nd week of November.

Sorry, but I’m not sure what you’re saying. Maybe first frost day? Our first frost day averages middle to late December.

Our cherry tomatoes, beans and greens produce well into December. The corn, watermelon and cucumbers should be done by the end of October to middle of November.

We have growing degree days until late November to middle December depending on the year.

We had one of those harbor freight ones in idaho, it kinda held up, but i had to brace it up. Surprisingly it held ok under snow load without screws.

Ive seen some videos saying top and bottom row every rib and middle every 3 rib. I have the holes drilled 1/4 then pilot drilled. So going slow. Up and down ladder sucks. We used tinted stuff on roof

Not married, 2 kids. I got to learn somewhere.

When I was younger I help an old lady. I haven't been exposed to many produce. I lived a shelter life from veggies. I hated them growing up. As I got older I helped people out in their garden. I work mostly on a pig farm.

They taste less acidic than the red ones but I don't know if they are for certain.

The debate lives on. My Uncle says that adding sugar to tomatoes doesn't bother his stomach. Without sugar it does.

I think it just cover the acid taste. Either way I'm not stopping eating them.

I'm lucky, my stomach typically doesn't care what I put in it.
