I guess this is like the steering wheel mod some people have done. Looks cool and eliminates the "stupid" airbag.
    Toytoa-QR-stub-adapter9.jpg
NOTE: Not my truck. This is sarcasm. I would not eliminate my airbag.

So far, I’ve Finished installing quick fists on the Hooke ceiling molle panel so I can get my cold steel shovel out of the way. found out that the Builtrite molle attachements don’t fit in this molle rack. Ah well, time to list for sale.

but I just drilled holes and mounted it anyway.

now onto figuring out how to get this awning on the rack.

50K spark plugs today. First time doing plugs on any vehicle. Boy - that driver's side tries one's patience. 1st change as the plugs are original (3 Denso & 3 NGK). Purchased at 26K miles, so this was not a surprise. Anything to worry about ? (ie. threads are pretty black). Not sure if this is normal since I am a newbie to this kind of stuff.

I’m still looking to learn how spark plugs are supposed to look. I guess if they are “wet”, that’s bad. Meaning you have a too much fuel or oil leaking into the cylinder. If it’s to white, that means you are running lean. And people also look at the tip of the plus that is inside the cylinder. The little bump. It is supposed to look like yours. When they go bad, there is barely any material.

anyone else care to pitch in and educate me?

Those plugs look fine, notice the center electrode is starting to wear so it was time to change them. The whole white or black plug reading thing doesn't really apply these days to computer controlled engines. If it's wet that could indicate an oil leak, but other than that I wouldn't expect to learn much by reading plugs on a modern engine.

I went to take a test drive on a 2015 offroad double cab long bed. I wanted to see what I could get for my 14 but as soon as I got a mile away from dealership my check engine and trac lights came on. Any who I get to the dealer, and it is a short bed with under coating sprayed right over the top of all the rust. It gets better. The offroad was a 3-owner truck with a wicked delay in power when hitting gas pedal. Something was not right. Anyway, my brother is still at local dealership trying to get 2.9 financing on a new Army green trail edition with gold wheels. I have searched high and low for a 22 v6 long bed sr. I need a work truck and expect to put 45k miles a year on it I would love all the options, but it does not make for my needs. Get to and from work

Led bulbs in halogen housings just blind other drivers.

The guy at the counter doesn't know what he's talking about. It's a fact, LEDs in halogen housings throw light all over, above the cutoff level. This thread has more lighting research and information contained in it than you would believe possible. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066

Beautiful. MOAB. Love that place. Sunrise, when the sun hits MOAB rim is my favorite time of day there.
