    I like them straight off the vine. We also use them in gumbo here. I haven’t mastered the art of cooking okra yet, but my mom can make a mean shrimp, crab, and okra gumbo with them

    also haven’t tried my hand at pickling yet, but my favorite was to eat them would be pickled. There’s a lot of locals around here that sell them pickled that I usually get them from

    I gave growing tea a try a few years ago. I had them in pots because our winters are too cold for them. They’re pretty tricky to grow from seed, I don’t recommend it. Buy started plants. Mine did OK but never really thrived. After a few years of them not doing much, I gave up.

    We grow hibiscuses for tea. They do great here, my 4 year old does most of the pedal collection for the tea.

    Mine loves it outside. I like when it blooms on really Cold days come Winter. Nature sayin’ :brianr: to Nature in a way.

    we dont get fresh okra very often here in the store.
    once in a while i make fried okra.
    its ok. my ex’s father was a chef in Louisiana. he used to make awesome gumbo. RIP Mr. Ray Barbay from Denham Springs, La.

    Okra is tricky because of the slime, but if you know what you’re doing they come out great
