I'm unsure about NOCO and "float" mode. I will have to look into that. Although I think the best long term scenario would be a dual battery setup if you always want to keep the unit on charge. It helps with redundancy (3 auxiliary ways to start truck and charge accessories), keeps additional wear off starting battery. Bonus points if you can select which battery you want to use as a slave and master without changing terminals every time. I hardly know about spark chasing :anonymous: but I hope that makes sense.

A very delayed response on my part but man, that is just awful. I hope you and community are doing alright, despite these tragic circumstances. I can't imagine how this community must feel, especially those who have lost loved ones and everything they have worked so hard for. Take care and hang in there, you guys are as tough as nails.

I know im a little late but Sams sells the NOCO brand. They currently list the GB10 model for 79.95. I would def go for a bigger model if purchasing though. I have an Interstate brand that i picked up several years ago and its still going strong.

I have a Noco GB40 & Gooloo 4000. Both are excellent. One video shows the ratings of Gooloo on top and the Noco near the bottom.

I just use my Gooloo to jump a dead battery on my Ranger. I have a battery tester, show it was nearly dead.
Just one turn of the key in the Ranger , it started the Ranger. & I was able to recharge the Ranger battery.

Every 4-5 months I will top off my battery chargers, one in my wife’s car, one in my Tacoma. I have notice the Noco discharges more and takes longer to recharge.

If I had to buy again? It will be a Gooloo 4000A
The Tacoma gets to keep the Gooloo, wife gets the Noco gb40.

I got some of the stuff and a road map for the rest...
Update: My Noco 150 is still rocking hard.

I'm up to 6 or 7 jumps with it and have only charged it twice. Once was when I first got it

One buddy just bikes over to grab it and I keep my truck at home. Gives us 2 chances to drink a beer together.

Read some reviews people purchase battery jumpers , a year later it fails. People do not realize battery jumpers will drain.

Most battery jumper company’s recommended time to recharge is every “6 months” .

I do mines every 4-5 months. One more thing to keep up with.

NICO 150 3,000 a , Amazon $299.00. You got the top of the line.

Funny thing is Amazon will not ship battery jumpers to Hawaii. eBay sellers, will ship battery jumpers to Hawaii.
I notice something’s are borderline on hazmat? I cannot get from Amazon, like car polish? (ProtectAll).

“Protect All”, polishes, waxes, treats, protects. Cleans- plastics, glass, fiberglass, mirrors.
Waxes-clear coat, paint, fiberglass, gel-coat. Treats vinyl rubber, finish leather. Polishes- chrome, aluminum, stainless steel. Protects-surfaces with UV blocker.
    Says wood too.

This Protect All - popular with RV owners! Cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles,ATVs.
Easy to apply and very easy to remove.

Did not harm or scratched my Tacoma dashboard. Or the Camry’s dashboard. Great for interior cleans, polish and protects.

My NOCO GB40 shows the level of charging power remaining by a series of colored blinking lights. I’ve never let it go 6 months without topping it off. I’m pretty confident it could if not used and started at a full charge. I’ve been able to jump start when the blinking light was at yellow strength, after having made a few jumps. But that was within a couple of months. I’m too dependent on it to go 6 months without topping it off. Gonna have to check reviews. Sure beats the living crap outta the old bulky lead acid jumper I had years ago that needed a charge every 30 days, even tho I never used it.

Those battery jumpers like Gooloo & NICO does add a peace of mine. Like carrying a spare tire ,it’s there if you need it. So easy to use , plus it can recharge your phone and other devices.
Those old lead battery jumpers are heavy and bulky, takes up lots of space.

    Jumpncarry!!!

it was literally made for our trucks. Fits perfectly behind the rear drivers-side seat.

Will literally jump any vehicle. After 6 months, it loses about 25% charge so I just recharge it twice a year.

And like I said it fits perfectly in that compartment behind the rear seat

Jumpncarry battery jumper has great reviews. This lithium battery chargers I saw two models, Amazon JHC325-$143 (450 amps) & JHC345-$244. (550 amps). Both have a duel USB ports. To charge cell phones and other devices.

Clore Automotive is the company that owns Jumpncarry. They make battery testers, battery maintainers, battery jumpers, plus other relayed products. A specialize Battery charging company.
    This company look solid.

It is amazing how well these little lithium battery jumper works , many of these lithium battery jumpers can jump start several cars, before it needs to be recharged.

Just remember to recharge every 6 months or Follow the factory recommendations.

I can only compare the NOCO GB40 & the Gooloo 4000. Since I own both. I notice in storage the NOCO GB 40 drains faster and longer to recharge. The Gooloo seems to hold up better in storage.
It is just a gut feeling , but I like the Gooloo better.
I use my Gooloo just once. And I will buy this brand again.

Hulk man. I also have a NOCO, but the charging connection is too fragile, already broke one.

Several battery jumpers will mention design and engineer in America. But they are all made/ produce in China. Including the Hulk.

That includes most things in America. China needs us and we need China. The Chinese labor is so cheap. But that is changing too. Now other countries now being use to make products for China ,because they can do it cheaper. And is being sold as China made.

American labor is one of highest in the world. My brother-in-law just return from a visit in the Philippines. He survive on $20-$30 a day, room, meals, transportation around the islands. He was treated like a King.
The flight is not cheap. He even dive for oysters and came home with pearls. Travel by himself to the more remote places ( can be extremely dangerous) he had a local friend that lives there and the local people were told to take good care of him. Lucky! One month he stay. Live with them, are with them, no hot water for showers.

Forgot to mention I have a tack life as a backup….shuts the charge after only about two seconds, it’s worthless…also it discharges far too quickly and takes forever to get the last charge bar solid. I only use it to charge my phone now

I really like my Gooloo a lot. And I also own , NICO50, it discharges more quicker then the Gooloo and the NICO seems to take longer to recharged.
I just order another 1500 Gooloo. For my third vehicle.

Remember to recharge your battery charger every 6 months or sooner.
Not sure the life of each charger? But I prefer a name brand ( usually a one time buy) Best to Buy a good name brand.
