I have confidence that these shims will do the trick. I guess the only thing that I can think of that's different is maybe the very early timing chain covers were thinner / more clearance. I have a chrome cover on it now and that cover is the same height as a factory one that came off the engine that was in it, just missing the alternator brackets.
I have two different style alternator brackets, the top portion of it anyway but the intake manifold old school TM1 (predates Tarantula but same) doesn't have the boss for that. Anyway missing the bottom portion that would be required to use it, and it may be the style that @wilcam47 is talking about for trucks.
Another issue is the fact that the alternator really needs to be mounted on the driver side due where all the wiring is routed.

I believe garage sailing season is very near. Nebraska City has Applejack Festival in September iirc weekend of 16th and that's usually around the time garage sales are happening.
I forget how many people it draws to town from all over the place.
I'll hit one once in awhile. Passed on a barometer/temp/humidity thing the last one I shopped and regret not getting it. It was identical to one my grandparents had and was nautical inspired like a ships wheel and compass or something.
I was told that I could have grandparents but it got snagged by someone else.

I got burnt pretty bad holding some pieces together for one of the welder dudes at work. Made a lightweight fixture out of aluminum so the diver dudes could mark and drill holes in the concrete wall up the side of the intake structure. Those guys were so happy it worked very good for them.
My face, eyelids and arms torched! Won't do that again. I could have easily got a jacket and hood.
    Why he didn't tell me:crazy:

I like Boats though it seems water likes me far to much.

I only need to be close to the water I will fall in.

I really get nervous crossing those Long Bridges.

Funny thing I love the water love to swim!

The swim team coach tried to recruit me in High School

I Just end up in the water far to often it started when I was old enough to venture forth alone.

If I was on a horse every Water crossing other then a very tiny stream they always would lay down.

Even a Horse that had never did that before would do it.

That is why I worry about bridges falling down when crossing .

It is going to happen I just learned to carry extra clothing.

It’s one of 3 gates on their riding arena, the other one simply rotted from being up so long. It was full of holes and where the hinge is on top was failing.

It’s a B&W, I’m very happy with it, especially since I didn’t have to buy it. The powder coat guy ordered it for his new AT4 but he needed the one with the angle on top for his multi fold tailgate. Instead of sending this one back he gave it to me :D

We’ve been trading painting for welding for years, I think I still owe him more than he owes me.

The light in the back of the shell works great.

The one in the toolbox doesn’t do as much. May add another one.
