If they have a recommended ball joint I’d rather use it then the Napa’s you gave me.

Yea sorry I hope it didn’t sound like I was second guessing you or anything. I just figured if the manufacturer would help out why not. Since you did have issues with the originals.

I know this is an old conversation but I have questions about camburg arms. I'm thinking about getting some. I am trying to fit 285 75 16 with a -25 off set wheel. I have eibach coilovers. I have read sometimes after market uca can make rubbing on the cab mount worse. So I'm not sure if I want to go this route. Also will the poly bushing make the truck ride rougher vs the rubber bushing on every day driving? If so can the poly be switched out for rubber? If I have these arms and have an issue can I get a moog ball joint at any parts store? If so do I just ask for one that fits a 2015 tacoma or do I have to have a special part number? Any help would be awesome. Thank you.

Did a little time traveling on this one lol.
    • The more negative offset or less backspacing you have will cause more tire rubbing on the body mount since it's pushing the wheel and tire outward. Then at turn it swings it closer to the cab mount. You want a zero or slightly negative offset wheel, something with 4.75" (ideal) of backspacing, not more. At the same time, doing a body mount chop isn't a big deal and I wouldn't let that dictate too much of what you plan on doing. If the tire ends up rubbing a little, just have it done.
    • The poly bushings allow the upper arms to pivot smoother and more freely giving you a better ride & feel. It's still has enough give to it to help isolate vibrations/noises through the chassis. Rubber bushings are too soft and since they are vulcanized to the sleeve, it takes a lot more force for the upper arm to pivot. It doesn't cycle up and down freely, you have to force it. Under heavy braking they also flex too much.
    • We have since stopped supplying the MOOG ball-joints in our arms since developing our stronger and higher quality Camburg X-Joint. It presses in the same so the MOOG interchanges into the arm still if need be. We used the standard MOOG ball-joint for the '05+ Tacoma #K80811, but we did end up suppling a better boot since the MOOG was pretty thin and wasn't bellowed so it could get pinched easily.

Hope that answers your questions. If not reply back or shoot me an email (scott@camburg.com).
