How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Speaking of manual transmission Tacomas; my son, who recently became a sales associate at a small local Toyota dealership in Epping, NH just told me they are getting in a TRD Sport 6MT in Barcelona Red (with an unknown package level) sometime soon. The only rub is, unlike the dealership I'm buying mine from up in Concord, NH, the Epping dealership has a fairly substantial market adjustment.

@Rod03 can you take a look at 3TYSZ5ANXNT084150 ? Just put a deposit on this one and the dealer said the system said it was supposed to arrive a month ago?

 

The truck was build on 05/26, move to Santa Rita MX on 06/06. Its been there since, does not show an ETA or hold.

 

Ordered my tacoma in early July. Haven’t got much update. Vin is 3TMCZ5AN3NM26A749. Unable to plug that into the Toyota website either

 

I rather doubt that VIN is valid any longer. Why? Per the VIN, the Tacoma was produced in week 26 of this year (which by my math means early to mid July); at this point the vehicle has a permanent VIN which replace the trailing "26A749" component with six numerics. Ask your sales rep for the permanent VIN and try that.

 

Well, my long wait is over! Extremely painful, but here was my timeline:
2/9: Deposit made
5/27: Dealer received allocation
6/4: Built at Tijuana plant, then sat at the factory forever (big group of us had long waits from this build date)
8/10: Guess on when it started rail trip
8/25: Arrived at SE Toyota processing center (~2 week rail travel time)
9/1: Arrived at dealer in SC
9/2: Picked it up

Along the way, I was able to get door unlock notifications from the app which was really helpful when my dealer had no info. Generally, single notification means it arrived somewhere (factory lot, processing center), multiple notifications meant it was being loaded to move or checked/cleaned by the dealer. Thanks for everyone sharing their info along the way, definitely helped to decipher what was going on!

Anybody know if Mike Johnson Hickory Toyota of Hickory, NC is affiliated with Toyota of Goldsboro, NC ?

I put a deposit down on a Tacoma with Goldsboro, and was given the VIN. Tonight I see in the new national Inventory listings, my VIN is at the Hickory Toyota dealership, across state.

Also on the listings are some symbols I dont understand. On the left most side I see a Plus, highlighted in green, a Minus highlighted in pink, and many others have a box with a dot inside, un highlighted.
Anyone know the meanings?

 

Crazy right? I inquired about a Pro late spring, and the salesman I bought two cars from over the yrs finally got back to me in June saying they got a allocation for a white Pro. It still has not hit the dealer lot yet. The last I heard it could arrive in the middle of Sept.

 

If all goes well I’ll get my 23 Pro 6MT end of October.

 

Green + is a new addition to the list. Starting the next day that vehicle will be white. Red - means it was sold (I think).

So sort of in no mans land I guess? They had a couple extra allocations that are built but not reserved yet, maybe I'll shift to one of those since this one sounds like it's been stuck in limbo for a while.
