Lunar Rock question

Can somebody confirm whether Lunar Rock is a gloss or metallic color? TIA!

 

There in no metal flake but it is a gloss finish.

 

Is it more green or more grey?

 

It really depends un the lighting, clouds, time of day. When the license bureau asked I said grey.
I like the color and it hides dirt and dust well.

 

I had two choices, black or dark charcoal. I chose not black.

 

Does LR have a clear coat?

 

I have seen articles that says it does but I'm not convinced. I asked my salesman and he wasn't sure.
I know white doesn't get clear and since this is not metallic maybe it doesn't?
I'd like to know too.

 

Lunar has a clear coat. It can appear very different, depending on the lighting

 

That's a damn fine color - one of the best Toyota has ever done. Too bad I couldn't find a manual like that.

 

Green only pops when sunlight is really out.. overcast presents more grey Lol.

I would think so. LR almost looks like super white to me. I wouldn't even compare it to silver, it's definitely more gray than white.

Ford's description of the color Cactus Gray seems more fitting than Lunar Rock. I guess the moon has a greenish hue to it at times.

 

Toyota should’ve just called it Lunar Mint or Mint Rock LOL

 

Or Cemint.

don’t know on the clear coat…

I have an LR… and it is sometimes hard to tell cement apart from it in the wild…

and sometimes not…

 

Like many have said - it depends on the lighting. In CO, the DMV called it light green
