In my jurisdiction in the attic, hidden under insulation, is considered accessible. o_O. I'll at least nail the J-box where the next guy can see it, I'm not that much of an asshole. :D

Ceiling fan in the living room, because having the A/C on 24/7 at 70 degrees isn't enough

Oh yeah I’m sure they’re bad! But yeah I’ll be notching that nailer so it’s accessible. The cabinet isn’t fully mounted yet — just mocked up to see how bad my infill is going to be and also to mark that spot to be notched. There’s two pieces of ply I use to install the brackets for the under mount drawer slides that have to go in as well and I have to notch around those. Prob a good time to point out that one of those blanks just has a box full of old telephone wire in it.

I only noticed it when I went to use a space heater last winter. Somehow some of the living room outlets are tied to the microwave.
    :bananadead:
Love my 72" ceiling fan in the living room. Pulls air through the entire house.

Damn that's a great size, I can only imagine.

The house gets pretty cold so I only went 56". I can't believe it still pushes air at the lowest speed.

I should add some to the bedrooms as well, especially since the lights are an eyesore

Yeah the $9.99 boob lights belong back in the 90's. Ceiling fans or a funky modern fixture off wayfair.com gets my vote.

I've never liked them, but intentions were to replace them so they're throw-aways anyway.

Totally digging the new fan and built-in light I just put in though.

I've picked up some nice stuff from Wayfair in the past for sure.

Do the lights spin like a fan :rofl::rofl:

I got a posidriv bit and played with adjustments and their definitely no wood on wood action going on.

Do these hinges take lubricant or better off replacing?

Says liberty hinges on them but this is the closet match i could find: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbil...nge-5-Pairs-10-Pieces-H70247E-NP-U1/303207154

Just about ready to slide the fridge into its new spot and install the cabinets around it. Just gotta caulk and paint the crown moulding tomorrow morning.
    IMG_20220904_212131280.jpg

Wasnt totally sold on the darker grey color for the brick, but I had it left over from another project. Figured I'd try it and see what happens. I think it'll work well with the grey/green I chose for the kitchen, atleast better than the blue/grey that it already was. Gonna hold off on baseboard for now since I talked myself into doing tile in here.

If I didnt post a before pic of this area, here ya go.
    IMG_20211204_210108936.jpg

The fix and flippers seemed to think this would fit a standard size washer/dryer. No to mention they installed the washer hookup/drain way too low and with no drain vent stack. That was a recipe for a flood.

Here's a better photo. The 3 arms are positionable. My wife and I are big into the mid-century modern look, so we're slowly getting the house to look that way

I also have the same opinion on this matter. A mini excavator is the best option, but if you want to save some money and if you don't want to spend a lot of time on rental, you can rent a skid steer or a regular excavator. If you are going to do a lot of digging work, the skid steer is the best option. But if the mini excavator was my only option, I would rent a mini excavator, because it can do so many different jobs and it is much more fun.

Im big into it too. In fact, I liked it way before it was back in style. Heres my sputnik that the previous owners installed. Its a little large, Im debating on replacing it with one like yours. Gonna wait and see until I get the kitchen done, as it will open the space up way more.
