No, I am not in one. Just a consumer. I live in Texas.

That’s what I figured. None of the union members can explain the benefits of the union to an end customer.

Having worked for a company owned by GM, I saw firsthand the benefits a union provided union members. Just not GM customers.

I had no idea that was a question of how it benefits you... I’m not sure the Union was designed to benefit you at all. I will say I work in a facility that employs some very talented people and the product we produce with union labor is excellent. Would it be if we were a non-union shop? I don’t know but I know what we do is first rate. For what it’s worth Union or not this job as well as my last do not tolerate poor performance due to the dangers and nature of the job. So we don’t tend to have those that give unions a bad name employed for very long. (FWIW I work(ed) in power generation)

Baja built. No issues. I would always choose a Mexican worker over a gringo any day.

Have to agree with this, and some other similar comments. Factory lines and build quality are rather uniform across the company as a whole.

Yeah, we have just about every union you could think of here in our state. We have non-union jobs also.

If looking for someone that works hard at repetitive jobs, i'd agree.
I would tend to believe texas has its fair share of mexican's working there to. I'd rather see we support the our plants in the u.s. than mexico.

The plant was offshored so the executives and shareholders could make more money. Probably the same reason the quality has gone down hill.

I used to work at a Honda plant and a lot of human hands put the cars together. Not too much automation on assembly but some on sub assemblies.

All Tacoma trucks are made in Mexico now correct? My 2016 was made in Mexico. Fit and finish is excellent. Nothing has fallen off.

If we want to discuss real differences lets discuss Mexican coke.

My Mexican truck is fine. I doubt there is any real discernable difference and, as a Canadian, US vs Mexican made doesn't really concern me much.
