Good for me, I am leaving tonight and will be there 10th - 14th. My other group typically uses GSMR channel 16 for our runs, will that work for this group or is there a different preferred channel.
    Looking forward to meeting everyone.

No one else has suggested anything so GMRS 16 it is. For those with baofengs/ham that is channel 462.5750

I’ll make sure my baofeng is set to 16. Also picked up a dac tent today so sleeping should be easier.

Oof! Re-reading that, it doesn't sound how I intended it. I meant that my life will be more organized. Hahaha!

I'll meet up with the group on the 11th. Most likely in Nile after Bear Lake and before you hit section 2.5 to Ellensburg.

I just got the word from work the hole we tried to make in the schedule starts tomorrow and runs through mid next week. I should be able to do Saturday through Tuesday as of right now maybe Wednesday depending how fast things get ready again. I spent all day Saturday running around the South side of Loop Loop pass looking for deer so it won’t break my heart if I bail around Twisp.:fingerscrossed: I have 2 GMRS handhelds and a 50W mobile.

Has anyone in the group going previously done the BDR trail? After looking at Travis's maps and the bdr trail there are some differences.

Day 1 we taking hwy 410 to 123 to the hwy 12 meetup or 410 to Nile and then down the trail to the hwy 12 meetup and back up to Bear Lake?

Day 3 is going to be a long one from the looks of it.

Day 5 I will probably do the morning segment to Whitley fuel and from there head home

I’m open to 5 days of camping and off-roading. If you have a better route post up.

I was trying to find decent camping spots close to the trail. Hard to do it via satellite images. Route, dates, meeting spots, camping spots can all be changed if so desired.

It’s going to be opening archery elk and on going deer season so camping spots may be taken up anyways. Other than Tony do we have any stragglers that are meeting up later? I’ve done the whole thing and remember where we camped and got Fuel. There’s plenty of camping spots along the way. Once we get near where we need to stay the night we could just find a spot. We killed a lot of time in 2020 hanging out a gas stations for an hour and a half trying to stay strictly on schedule because we had people coming and going from the group. We don’t want to over or under run it distance wise but also don’t want to spend 7-8 hours driving and moving locations along the way. Just my .02

I’m game for pretty much anything it just sucks that the guy who organized it all backed out :anonymous:. I think the only person meeting
us partway is @stonylaroux on the 11th but he has plans to meet us by Nile so as long as we don’t leave too early it should be fine.

Are you surprised that a guy whose nick is “WrecklessAbandon” decided to abandon the trip? ;)

I could also meet up with you after Section 2 on the Ellensburg/I-90 side. Depending on how early I get there, I could just start Section 2 heading south until I reach you all coming my way.
