How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

@chickenriggies Hopefully mine is on that train with yours.... It did show the app updated this AM, but no change to any status'... mine's a stick so no door lock to indicate movement.

Petersburg is a NS rail ramp in VA for the auto distribution there. I’d guess after the truck comes off a boat in JAX or EWR it will be railed to Petersburg.

Drive past dealer today and saw a car carrier unloading a number of trucks. Came back through and got excited because I thought it was my truck sitting there. Hopes were dashed on the rocks of despair as they were both Sport models and not my OR. :-(

They dropped two Tacoma sports in green , and SR in grey , a SR5 acess , Tundra TRD , and a Limited in green. Good to see some vehicles tho

Well, last time I checked, my Tacoma is supposed to be built today; I'll check with my sales associate to see if the temporary VIN has switched to a permanent VIN later this week.

 

Good question: if by train, to Petersburg VA. There is a St. Petersburg in FLA but that is further south of the port of Jacksonville FLA, and not one of Toyota's shipping ports / destinations as far as I know...
Now, to me (what do I know) it would seem like your truck might be off-loaded from a Roro ship in either Jacksonville FLA, or Newark NJ, then shipped to Petersburg VA by train, and then last leg by car transport to dealership.
I just don't think your vehicle, made in Mexico travels to the east coast by train. But hopefully @Rod03 or someone else will be able to set that uncertainty straight.

 

Unless private track the NS does not cover West of the Mississippi. Most likely it’s a boat/rail/move for the MidAtlantic. Long haul truckers are a nightmare to procure right now so this routing in terms of efficiency (not fastest) the routing makes sense.

St Petersburg FL should fall in the SE distribution where I think is off the grid for tracking?

I think it depends on the plant in which the truck was built in. My truck was shipped by train to Massachusetts.

Who's been waiting the longest? My first deposit was Nov 15th, 2021..still no allocation!!!

 

Placed a deposit for LR TRD Sport Premium DCLB in Dec 2021...was just told its in Transit. Vancouver Canada. Hopefully first week of Oct for delivery.

 

You've got me beat; deposit mid-February 2022, allocation early August 2022, supposedly produced yesterday, and an estimated delivery date of November.

 

My temp VIN just stopped working tonight and my build date was 9-2-22 and I had a week 33 VIN. So I imagine you will be built in the next few days.

I should clarify that I am a TRD OR with only the tech package. I have seen some week 33 trucks with November ETA's so certain builds may be delayed.

 

I was stupid enough to give a dealer a non-refundable deposit on August 1st but I lucked into finding a guy at a completely different dealership who busted his butt to get me a truck coming in a month. I watched the SET Buy a Toyota site and hit up every dealer who I saw get an allocation that suited me. In this case the one I contacted him about was already sold but two days later he called me to tell me he may have traded for one for me but it fell through. Three days after that he somehow traded for another one and got it into his inventory and I jumped on it.

 

I hear you 100% brother. My truck is almost 2 weeks overdue @ the dealer.

Are you sure the deposit is non-refundable? Seems like that would be theft, considering you are not getting any product for the $1000. I would definitely check into that if I were you.
