Just a word of advice... It's a good idea to cut a 2x4/2x6 as a spacer and lay it on the floor so when the refrig is pushed back it'll hit the block/s before smashing or puncturing the water feed. Even with a refrig having the adjustable front feet on the floor, they still tend to slide back from the doors and freezer being closed. Over time this can easy puncture PEX piping.

I do remodeling for a living and it's kind of a standard practice for me. Most don't even think about it but if you can't have the supply set into the wall then it's a great thing to do. Your OG picture of the washer feeds had me lol'n.... You gotta love them flippers.

Yeah, the sad part was that the home inspectors didnt catch that. They were more concerned with the bricks on the stoop being a trip hazzard.

The more obvious thing, was that a new front load machine would be way too big. The door would hit the fridge when you open it. Gotta give it to em, they tried.

I renovated the bathroom this weekend.

the Before: (which doesn't look so bad since it is from 2017 before we bought the house)
    2017003703_6_1.jpg

I hired someone in 2019 to repair the ceiling after I stepped through it. and they grosly over sprayed and left a huge white line above the window, and the white top on the vanity was discolored and scuffed up.

    The After:

    20220905_095917[1].jpg 20220905_095904[1].jpg

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to install a new toilet. I was going to change it myself, but the flange looks damaged so I decided play it safe and just to hire someone.
I also will need a different mirror. I put the old one back up temporarily, but the wife is thinking about a lighted mirror. which would also allow me to get rid of the vanity lighting that doesn't align with the vanity.

So something small for today. I wanted to move my little compressor into the closet area in the garage. It's pretty damn loud and annoying, so I wanted to minimize it. Yesterday I ran wiring and added and outlet and today I mounted my hose reel. Used an old hose I had laying around. It's one of those annoying plastic ones, so it was fine for what I am doing.

    Much quieter during operation.

In another unrelated subject, I was finally able to locate some amber shellac. I had about 3/8 of a quart left, but I knew it wasn't gonna be enough to touch up what I need to. Decided to not paint the wood trim, just needs touched up. The amber shellac is a perfect match. I also need to put down quarter round so it needs to match.

Another "small" thing to fix this winter. I've noticed a slight bounce around the toilet area and that I had to shave down the bathroom door to get it to shut right. Went down to the basement to grab a beer and curiosity got the best of me. Popped open some ceiling tiles and found this BS...

    20220906_160946.jpg

Yup, they cut right into my nice 2x10 floor joist. So, it's gonna take a little bit of finangling to get it fixed. Good news is it looks like I don't have to fool with an old copper toilet flange...

    Handyman special

Apparently the old 4" copper was leaking and they replaced it with 3" pvc. Which that's fine in itself, but they cut my floor joist to move the toilet a little bit apparently...
