Agreed. I do the same (price low to move it). I also state that it's cash only and first come, first served.

Can't stand it when I get low balled on an already low price and/or get asked to hold the item for a day or two.

My favorite is when they drive from over an hour away and than try to lowball me. They will never win that battle they can go home empty handed for all I care.

Part of the reason why I don't like selling shit.

I've got a new M18 5.0 battery I want to post up for cheap, but don't want to meet someone only to say "you take cashapp/etc" even though cash was agreed beforehand.

Had that happen once before, even got the excuse "it's the same as cash" :jerkoff:

I had that happen when I sold my Nissan Frontier

Dude and his uncle came from Santa Cruz, after having agreed to my asking price.

Offered me a good $1k less after they showed up, claiming they have the cash now. Nope, you can leave bye.

They bought it for my asking, just tried to save a buck in the most disrespectful manner.

It's soo much easier to just download cashapp link your bank acct and send or recieve money to and from bank accounts without withdrawing or depositing any of it...

I bought my ls400 and camry through cashapp. Can't withdraw 700/2500 bucks from an atm after work

But you can send $ from your bank account to another person's bank account with an app on your phone

Same deal with paypall, and venmo

    Meet in a public location.

Get cash before transaction takes place.

Take someone with you, for precaution if need be.

I've done various transactions (both as buyer and seller) for firearms well into 5 digit figures.

A vehicle would be just the same.

Meet at your bank if you want a safe transaction even.

What if like most people you go to work as the bank opens and leave work as it closes but can only withdraw 500 bucks a day through an atm?

You're talking to someone that worked those very hours for 11 years - work started at 8am (before banks open) and work ended at 8pm (long after banks closed) and that's if we got out on time.

And yes, I've done many successful cash transactions having worked those hours for years.

I either got cash during lunch if I really needed to, or did it on my day off.

It'd take more effort finding excuses as to why you couldn't make a quick cash withdrawal than doing the withdrawal itself.

Look me up on Calguns; you'll find some transactions via my feedback on there as well as arfcom.

That makes it worse when they are disrespectful and rude. If people are nice and have a valid reason to pay less I'm willing to negotiate.

    Only nerds use banks

Find a statue you like in a nearby park and bury your money there. I found one with one of those cool space race rocket ship playgrounds for mine

Becoming a homeowner taught me how to be responsible with money. Like not giving my bank info to some random app developer that may be here one day and gone the next.

Or not buying 7 shitty old Toyotas or whatever and dumping thousands into them. But thats beside the point.

There's a certain, group of people that grew up not trusting banks (in their country).

When I was in the car business, I had a guy pick up his vehicle the next day after having done his paperwork because he needed to bring in his downpayment.

Where did he stash his cash?

He had it buried in his backyard.

    Make it make sense.

Why waste 45 minutes of your lunch break dealing with paper the day prior when it can be done in seconds wirelessly the moment of.

I get cash. I just don't get the hate for money transaction apps. It's the same currency flowing in whatever direction you choose... just with more convenience and flexibility
