Some people may need the cash for personal reasons IE needing to deposit it in a bank because they're buying a house or something.

Money coming in and going out can be looked at differently depending on how it's being transferred.

That money could also be used to pay something off like some debt?

I mean, it's personal preference really.

But the idea that my banking information is spread across multiple platforms is definitely nerve wrecking, and I'd like to minimize it as much as possible like Danny explained.

 

I regret giving PayPal my info. Doesn't matter that my account was deleted years ago, they still have my info.

 

Get a cashiers check on your lunch break like a responsible adult would do.

Dont forget those apps report all your transactions to the IRS.

 

I only have paypal because of ebay. My balance in there is below $5 at any given time.

 

Was an odd way that someone stored cash, that's for sure.

Though the one's I hate are those that'd bring nothing but 20's or 50's totaling some $20-30k.

And the reasons would be something like "my son would save every $20-40 he got every week for years just to buy this car, etc"

Dude. it's not 1932 anymore the banks arnt going to drown with your money, its all insured through the government up to like... 250k

Do you also have an aneurysm multiple times a day inserting your card with the same information into a chip reader at various places?

 

Ebay is why I got on PayPal. One time purchase deal then I got all paranoid. Even though my account is gone, they keep emailing me that I have $30 in credit to spend. The unsubscribe button is totally busted.

 

Interested. Swapping to a Mean Green alternator I got off eBay in new condition. Keeps the connector oriented in the same position as stock vs the 105 amp Suzuki Vitara alternator. Also higher amperage than the Suzuki so wiring definitely needs an upgrade.

 

Cash apps are convenient particularly for non local sales, but I don't get why people give their information to and use apps that offer no protection for fraud. To my knowledge only Paypal and Venmo do, the rest you're just plain fucked if someone screws you. Which is why I will only use those two.

 

the secret is that any balance you leave in them is silently borrowed and used to generate money for them. Most of the hype about convenience is because it's only worth providing it to you given they make money off of you and their "free service"

True, but don't banks do the same thing? Use your money to generate profit I mean

I totally understand trying to limit how many entities have access to your banking info, it's just a rule of nature that risk increases with exposure. In this digital age you have to be on top of your security or it's easy to get fleeced. I've dealt with numerous debit and credit card fraud charges over the years with my bank, fortunately have always been made whole

 

The original tarus sho motor would actually do well in something like a miata... you never hear of anyone swapping those motors

 

Banks do the exact same thing... that's why savings accounts grow 1% or whatever yours does

 

Zelle is backed up by my bank. After that all I have is PayPal which so far has treated me great in bad situations. People will ask me what my Cash App and stuff is and then won't have any of the 2-3 safe money/cash transfer apps.

 

Yes but (insert bank name here) has a physical branch location, fraud department, and FDIC coverage

Good luck getting anything more than an apology from FB/snap/ whatever other 3rd party cash app lol
