Tacomas are trash. I’m gonna trade mine in for a Ford because you never see Fords stranded on the side of the road.

Any motor can have an issue. If the original poster is really that worried then they would buy an extended warranty.

Ahh, I see another 2nd gener figured out how to create a second account. We will be in real trouble when they figure out how to stop breathing through their mouths.

OP obviously started this thread with humor in mind, so….. the mini van motor is in all kinds of vehicles with literary millions and millions of accumulated miles between them. A handful of engines shit the bed. So, yeah, they all suck.

    Oh yeah, happy Tuesday Friday.

Yep, and some likely had a very hard life. I think toyota strives for a 3% or less failure rate.

As long as you stay on asphalt or improved dirt roads. My cousin has one....always ask me first how the road is to my home cause its usually not maintained for thru traffic. Claims the time he didn't inquire he pinched off his new exhaust pipe going to the cat. Wasn't a happy chappy when he found out the cost to replace it.

I wish I saved some pictures. Sold it to my cousin who just stores it in his garage. It's still in good condition body wise but needs a bit of mechanical work.
