Friend has them on his F150 and loves them. That’s after having a set of SCS on his DCLB 2015 Tacoma.

Looks better than the Subaru parked out front of my place that has been ticketed at least 5 times since it showed up 2 months ago….
Plates expired 9/2020. Tires aren’t flat enough that the rims are only a sidewall away from the pavement, but close.

found out that it is a new neighbor that moved in. Their garaged vehicle is a white TuRD pro T4R.

Come get it. It’s a late 90s Legacy wagon. It would look great with some 29’s and a spacer lift. :sawzall:

this drives me nuts. We had a base level Nissan Rogue in 17 or so that had 360 monitoring and sensors everywhere. It’s a safety thing and should be standard.
I’m with you where I want the ability to shut it off but it’s crazy that I had a 21 sr5 without sensors too.

I miss the old days when Toyota only had a couple packages and the features were standardized :p

Is this for a trail rig? Dismount your tires and put a wrap or two of duct tape over the safety bead like this pic from h8mud

those nanny systems actually cause more accidents.
"What's that beeping?" *eyes leave the road in search of annoying noise* and...
    crash.

Jokes aside, these “nanny systems” save lives.

There was a 3-car accident out front of my place last night. 3 dudes in a new SUV blew through the stop sign across a busy street. Hit two vehicles. Airbags and everything blew. No fires or explosions since they all had a nanny system turn off the fuel pumps and killed the engines. Kids in car seats survived as well as the drivers from the seatbelts and airbags.

the 3 in the suv that blew the stop sign above 50mph on a city street all immediately jumped out and ran from the scene.

Probably a stolen vehicle. No pics?!

Those nanny systems are a little different though, really more of what I'd call that a fail-safe. Reactive, not pro-active. They all kick-off post accident, and do nothing to prevent or avoid the collision. I think @Deathbysnusnu was referring to warning or interference systems in the car that tell pre-accident that they are about to do something stupid, or take control of the vehicle, like back-up sensors , lane correction and adaptive cruise control.

I'm in the camp of pay attention, monitor your speed, don't rely on a computer to save your life. Is it a nice to have? yes. Do those systems save lives? Yes. But I fear the generation of drivers that relies on these nanny systems so that they can take a selfie at 80mph hanging out the roof of their daddy's self driving tesla. I know that's stupid extreme example cause you have to have hands on wheels, butts in seats or the car will stop...but you get my point.

welp, truck got broken into while i was in Steamboat this weekend. Looks like they just got away with a handful or RX glasses, sun glasses, an old ring, my garage opener, knife, and some hand sanitizer.. left my BCA radio, charging cables, hats, and the couple beers in the back. time to invest into an actual alarm.
