Bro. I told my bank I was going to buy something from Canada and told them to not flag it as fraud

...Well they did anyways, with my bank it's $500 per day not per atm... so even if I wanted to do cash a lot of the time I simply cannot

 

Your point was made, in that you like to use apps for your transactions, whatever those transactions may be.

But to be so abrasive against those that prefer not to use an app; does it really benefit you to tell us cash-users how much BeTtEr UsInG aN aPp ReAlLy Is?

Some of us prefer cash.

Some of you prefer using multiple apps.

I'm not buying anything from you, or you from me, so I think it's irrelevant how many of us use our money.

 

All I know is, if you hire a contractor to come work at your house, then tell him hes getting anything other than cash or a certified check, he'll laugh in your face.

Oh especially contractors; you think they want to pay taxes on all that they charged?

Along with other reasons IE getting charged back or more.

 

Oh yeah, the IRS cant track cash. Those apps report everything automatically. The minute you make over $600 your ass gets a 1099 and raped come March.

But theyre totally better in every way apparently.

 

Only if you have a business account or mark as goods/services

Otherwise no taxes are charged

Fyi brake cleaner works faster and is cheaper

 

But then you have no recourse if you send as friends/family, and that protection that was mentioned earlier goes out the window.

 

You do, a lot for a lot of things.

Though some of us try to remind ourselves that it isn't intentional.

Just understand that your way of thinking doesn't always align with everyone else's. The same can be said about everyone though regarding lots of things.

You don't need to agree with me, just understand why I don't use those apps, just the way I understand it's largely inconvenient for you to get cash.

Yeah, but what recourse do you have with cash?

At least with a transaction app... business or personal there's an undisputable record of a transaction including the date time amount and parties involved

I dont think aside from a receipt anyone can say is fake and a whitness anyone can say is lying you can prove cash transactions even happened

 

I had a contractor ask me to pay him via Zelle once.

He also added 50% to the amount he initially asked for prior to starting work, with no real justification.

I cancelled that job.

That said, almost every contractor I've worked with has been happy to take personal check or credit card. I always ask and most say they're fine with credit card, but I usually do check so they can save the fees. A few have even seemed surprised that I was willing to pay by anything other than card.

 

I think the brake cleaner you guys get is probably more toxic in general than the stuff we get out here

It sure is. I bought a can of CA approved brake cleaner when everything else was OOS in 2020 and it wasn't nearly as aggressive for cleaning

 

yeah I don't have patience for them because they show none for me lol.

Bees I'll do my best to commingle with, as long as they don't buzz around me too much...I get that they're important and all. I don't see the point of yellow jackets and wasps though except to inflict pain. Them taking up residence on our house is an act of war
