I know I will prob catch heat for this post and I have searched the forum before posting. That said.. had my RC suspension lift installed today on my 2020 ORLB, 3" front and 2" rear. I've only had the truck since may so was pretty surprised when the mechanic told me I had air bags on the rear. Who knew? That explains why my rear ride was so bumpy since they were riding on those. Anyway, they have no air in them at the moment but to me appear to still be adding a little lift to the rear. Is this the case? Personal preference here but I want it to sit level or a hair lower in back is fine. As it sits now, it looks like it's sitting higher in the rear, rake that i do not care for. Im wondering if i remove the bags will it lower the rear even though they are not aired up? I will try to attach pics. Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance.20220906_152219.jpg 20220906_152211.jpg 20220906_152259.jpg

As I continue to research, I do not see any air bag kits with that round plastic spacer that I have. Thinking that's what is giving me the extra height I don't want.

Look up daystar cradle. That is the round plastic piece you are referring to.

They shouldn't be giving you any lift, deflated. Should always have a few lbs of air in them. Those are cradles, not spacers under them. I would keep the, you may need the extra load capacity of them. If loaded heavy or trailering.

The rake is engineered to compensate for load. Like using the truck as a truck.

So unless you are always empty, you might reconsider the level for looks.

Thanks brother! Next up...wheels and tires. Right now I'm thinking 17x9 with 0mm offset 285/70. Currently looking for a black wheel that speaks to me.

Running air bags with no pressure could lead to damaging them. Might want to look up minimum PSI on them, or simply remove them.

@wb_doublecab Check out this post. That vertical leg support is supposed to have a bracket down to the axle to accommodate the lift block

Thanks man. I see what you're saying. So, I either weld a peice of metal in there or remove the bags?

Firestone makes different spacers that might work. I'm not sure if you need to drill your brackets or not. Welding is one way to do it. Removing the airbags is another.

Here's my setup. Custom U-bolt flip plate with daystar cradle and a bumpstop with "strike" plate. This way I can empty the bags, and ride on the bumps if needed, so the ride is smoother and I don't damage empty bags.

@Blueberry.Taco installed a custom setup too with internal bump stops built in. You might want to check out his build here.

Airbags are not designed to give lift. Firestone air bags default to 5psi with no load.
Airbags are my number one mod I have done. Very useful.

Looks like your truck has lift blocks. Maybe 2"? So if you want to lower the rear remove the lift blocks or buy some that are half as tall.
