Not sure. It's measuring overall, combined city/highway....which is currently at 35.2 mpg. It's officially rated at 35 combined....with a 41 mpg highway rating. Though I do a lot of highway driving, I do have city driving as well. So I'm right on the advertised rating. Hoping with a light foot we can inch her up some more. Plus, she only has 600 miles on her. As she breaks in, that should help

    Evening.
Finally the Elva is ready for Watkins Glen.
Doing rotors is the most convoluted Shit Job there is.
Heaven forbid the rotors are on the outside of the hub.
    Oh No inside.
Ended up destroying the axles and bearings to pull it apart enough to use a 30 ton press and a torch to get the hubs off.
Then disassemble one side 3 times to shim the preload right.
Almost redesigned it but no time this year. Still have to do the rears over the winter.
3 times the work than the front. If they ever come apart again………
    Some rewiring.
    Clutch stop adjustments.
    Bleed the systems.

As a kid my step mother had a '73 Audi Super 90 with inboard front disc brakes....a lot like old Jaguars did in the back.

I know that's different than the setup you're talking about. But it made me think of that

Goose and Cassie are the only two laying currently so we only get two eggs per day. The kids should be starting up by the end of the month

Happy first day of school! We're not sure whether it's easier to start the school day at 10 a.m. on Mondays, or 8 a.m. Tuesday-Friday, but the first day makes me happy to see the staff and teachers as I arrived about quarter after 7 to be sure I was ahead of the visiting firemen and police officers. Only one fireman with a young Lab, in training to become a cadaver dog. The last August weekend visiting Port Angeles, WA, my SIL was studying at home before his fourth week at the WA Fire Academy in North Bend, so this weekend marks a quarter of the way through for him (and my daughter, 7-week old boy, and their two dogs. 20220906_163721[1].jpgWhile I was visiting, I secured the cat door mounted on the outer door to the backyard so no cats will get in (and Gorilla Tape adhesive encounters should dissuade Hank the Cow Dog from sticking his head through it. The adhesive sticks really well to my fingers, so I don't think dogs (or cats) would like it either. 20220826_183159[1].jpgCustodian Bob asked me this morning, "Have you considered working part-time?" Bob really wants me to to take the evening custodian job that's been authorized... 19.5 hours a week, 5-9 p.m. and he knows how we do what needs to be done, so being the only one in the building to sweep and dust mop floors, clean windows and counters... I think I'm talking myself into it. Volunteer morning crossing guard and greeter is still the best gig I've ever had. Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Thrilling Thursday, and Fantastic Friday! (Fantabulous Free Dress Friday only happens at the end of the school month.)
