Very cool, I highly recommend a trip down to Queenstown and a visit to the establishment of one A.J. hackett; what a great experience to jump with the originator of the sport. :)

Thanks Tom. I want to get an updated photo of my Tacoma with the window visors I installed this weekend, will do that soon.

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. Looks like some did - I hope to get to a car show this month!

Good morning fellow Porchatonians and welcome @Stelcom66 Steve!!

Enjoy the trip @johneman Ken - looks awesome!!

It's been raining here pretty steadily since about 4AM yesterday and the weather report says it will likely continue throughout today into tomorrow.

Drizzling here again, I honestly think it's going to rain 'til it snows...last two grass cuttings have required tactical level weather planning and both required waiting 'til 1700L before grass was dry enough to cut. Tests a guy's patience.

Be safe, healthy, and happy! :)

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/@MQQSE. We are finally getting a proper rain here, first one since early summer. I put some bluestone slabs under the garage rainspouts, just waiting for daylight now to go out and see how they're faring. Fetching the Caterham home is going to wait a day or two -- it has no top whatsoever, and I'm retired so there's no rush. ;)

Please let us know how that turned out.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

When I go to New Zeeland, I will jump right on that. Pun Intended! In my younger years I would probably have done that.

Nice pics Kwn. My parents went to New Zealand about 30 years ago. My dad loved it because everything ran on New Zealand time. If you called for a cab, it might be there in 10 minutes or an hour. My mom, on the other hand wants everything to run like the schedule of the PRR. I miss them both every day. I need to put New Zealand on my bucket list.

Another Moose sighting must be close to rutting season. LOL I need to find the Stitch thread and subscribe. I think I am missing a good time.

Today is Chief Judge Election training. Now it is an all-day affair. UGH I also need to go and pay the bill for my son's truck tune up. I have his credit card. ;)

    Have a great day everyone.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal & @MQQSE ! Yesterday turned out to be Holiday weather after all, sunny, 90's, and nothing close to rain. Grilled some dogs and spent pool time. So, back to the work weekend schedule!

NZ looks beautiful - enjoy Ken!

And here I thought you were thinking about getting the Caterham, Dave! Have fun!!

Thanks Mark. We're also getting some much needed rain here in New England. It's welcome - but kind of a long walk from the parking lot to the office so got kind of wet, but that's ok.

114 again here today. I don’t mind the heat usually but this is too much. The heat and direct sunlight killed some of my outdoor potted plants. I dumbly unthinkingly grabbed a metal tool that was laying in the sun, think I heard my hand sizzle as I dropped it. I just pray the power grid holds up. I think it likely there will be some major power outages today but will hope for the best. Stay cool.

    Evening all:

:annoyed::( Just got a letter saying that another bank is closing its branch in our town, I have a SDB at that bank and now need to transfer the contents to another SDB at another bank. First the bank that I did my banking at closed its branch in town, now another bank where I have had the SDB for years is closing its branch. These banks have been involved with multiple mergers with big banks over the years that are now shutting down some of their small-town banks. There was always 2 banks in town, then a savings and loan came in, now there is one bank left in town that is privately held, probably just a matter of time before it is sold also!!!!

Having worked for a bank, S&L that was shut down by the RTC, I feel your pain. You might want to look at Navy Federal and see if the S&L in town has a reciprocal agreement with Navy Federal for no-fee ATM withdrawals. I am lucky and have an actual Navy Federal branch within a 1/4 mile from me. I do most of my banking either online or with a cell phone. I might go into the branch twice a year. But you probably already checked out Navy Federal.

Today is a music lesson. Yesterday's Judges training went till 5PM, long day for me.

    Morning all!

2nd day of retirement and still raining...that's ok we need it. The lawn is turning green again!

2 crazy (well they are to me) stories in the local paper...someone stole 2 USPS mailboxes. I'm not talking about house boxes but big ass blue mailboxes from down the road in White Haven.

    USPS.jpg

Also, there's a high school kid suing the PIAA, Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Assn. because he was ejected from a football game last fall for throwing a punch at 1 kid on the other team!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Dog & I recycled cardboard, and I fixed some irrigation drips yesterday. That's it. Spent a bunch of time on the laptop making appointments, figuring out vision insurance (that's a treat!), trying to get vendor support and such... wonderful. But enough got done to feel good about it. It's clean the pond filters day. Supposed to be upper 90's if it doesn't rain, so maybe I'll slip into the pool. Seems to be mostly little Putz projects in the book this week, so why rush?
