Cal4Wheel posted this on facebook...since some may have been going out that way, I wanted to share it with you.

    MISSING ON ERSHIM-DUSY
If you were on the Dusy Trail over Labor Day weekend, did you see this vehicle? It is owned by previous Cal4 member Ben Jackson, who as of this morning is reported as missing. He and his girlfriend (running solo) were last seen on Thompson Hill on Sunday with a flat tire. If you have any information on their whereabouts please contact the local SAR dispatch at 559-600-3111.

@El Taco Diablo is up there now. I think he has one of those satellite-to-phone text messaging devices, so I sent the info to him. Hopefully he receives it.

@ian408 Per Facebook he is out. Sounds like he broke a knuckle. Someone else came along and welded it up then helped limp him off the trail.

Matt said dude walked into camp last night and they spent some time in the morning welding up his steering rack to get him off the trail.

The latest from @El Taco Diablo -

Update the wheelin and fuckery peeps. We made it up Thompson, no breakages. I only winched once.

We made it past all of Thompson Hill... (hardest part) camped at Summit Lake. No problems so far.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of BAMF sliders during their Labor Day sale after seeing that their prices are going up. Looking forward to hitting some more challenging trails!

It’s going to be a long 14-16 weeks haha. IMO they are the best looking sliders out there.

Jerry has been a supporter of the community for a long time. He started his business in his garage, moved to a small shop he quickly outgrew and eventually ended up where he is today--much larger and more automated too.

They were busy as hell last time I went by there. Must have been at least a half-dozen people working in the back.

That’s awesome! His post on Instagram mentioned how he plans to bring in more people to help with production and reduce lead times, so it sounds like they’re continuing to grow.
I hope to pick up their hybrid front bumper sometime in the future.
