About 1500 miles into my brand new 2022 OR I noticed a female looking at my bumper a little too closely as I returned to my vehicle. Her boyfriend somehow managed to hit my driver’s side rear bumper with their Mercedes front passenger side headlight housing, destroying their headlight. There. Was. No one. Behind. Them… it just scratched the stupid faux chrome bumper cap. It just seemed like an unforced error.

3740 miles in I get my first cracked windshield. It sounded like a little people the size of a grape nut hit it. I was rewarded with about a 14” long crack right in my field of vision…

I was kicking myself for not driving my 3rd gen 4Runner instead. That old pitted windshield could use a replacement. LOL.

I think I have been taking for granted how relaxing it is to drive a 20 year old third GEN armored and scratched 4Runner.

I’m trying so hard not to say anything about the driving skills of a certain race of people (Of which I belong to myself….technically) in a certain city on the west side of Washington LOLOLOL

Well, to their credit, they at least looked like they were going to leave their info had I not returned. There's a lot of D-bags out there that would have just kept driving. They were nice and accepted full responsibility. My damage was very superficial. I didn't even bother getting it fixed. Their insurance, that happens to be mine as well, called to let me know that they said that they were at fault and that I would be covered under their claim. I hate driving/parking in the city just for this reason. Hahaha. Next time I am showing out of towners around, I'm bringing my monster truck instead of my 22. Hahaha...

I like the look of these n-fab ones, stainless steel construction, a bit pricey yes -- but this is a new truck after all...

One month in last year and was experimenting with the backup camera. Let's just say I learned really quick what distances those lines represent. Then a week later, some d-bag in the parking lot went to extra effort to ram a shopping cart into my tailgate. The truck was parked well away from any other vehicles, guess it was just a target for some jealous non-Taco owner. Decided the truck was too new to look like a POS, so I spent some bucks and had all the dents taken out. Might just do this every couple of years, because I get a new vehicle every 20 years and this might be my last.

I sprung for some CaliRaised sliders, they're supposed to be here in the next few weeks. Sooooo stoked for them to arrive.

Totally re the bags. Had my wife's Rav4 not long after we got it (OK used so it had a few scratches). Walking back to it in the parking lot, someone in a Cadillac whacks the door into it hard enough I heard it 10 feet away..I hear "OOPS!", chuckling, and see the door close. I've already taken a picture of the plate, wasn't fast enough to get the door still open. I cross the lane as he's starting to back up and stand there, when he sees me he rolls down his window

    Him: What?
Me: You just hit my car
Him: Oh I don't think so
Me: I was standing right there (points)..heard and saw it hit, heard you say 'OOPS!' and chuckle before you shut the door. You really are going to lie right to my face?
Him: (with attitude as his buddy next to him is flipping me off) What do you want me to do?
Me: OK I'll just call the police

$1200 to get the damn door fixed and repainted. His dime not mine. Guy was driving his mommy's car so he doesn't care.

Yup, guy was about 30-31 and driving his mommy's car so he didn't care about that and why should he give a damn about mine?

I even told the cop when he talked to us separately "I'll say it to you, you can decide if you say it to him..we could have handled this ourselves and much quicker if he would have been honest instead of lying and getting mouthy. This ain't the end of the world but it's not okay to put a decent sized dent in our almost new vehicle and think he can just ignore it"

Okay, so this wasn't the first damage to my Tacoma but it did make me cringe. I had just received my new MTB frame after waiting for 5mo and while getting all the packing material off the frame with a box cutter.... sliced right into my brand new frame. It's a mountain bike, and won't stay pretty for long, but I didn't even have that for 2min before starting to accumulate damage.

1 month into owning my new Tacoma, my baby mama put a couple scratches in it. She picked up her brother from the airport and instead of dropping the tailgate, they tried to lift the luggage over it. Couple deep scratches in the top of tailgate. She said "well it's a truck get over it." I knew right then and there we weren't getting married.

Lol yeah the MTB frames don’t stay pretty for long. Like the orange and black. That’s color scheme on my Fuel EX.
