Tacoma tail light

Hey guys I brought a set of these taillights for my 3gen tacoma however the clips broke off two times I am sure they are not over tight because I just snug with hand tool I believe the material is crystallized they are the morimoto one's

 

Meso Customs had a similar issue with some of theirs which are also made by Morimoto. I would contact Morimoto (if you bought them new from them or an authorized dealer) and hopefully they will make it right.

 

Just JB Weld it, assuming you still have the pieces. I just did that on my taillight a couple weeks ago. Broke both the tabs on one side after some spirited driving on washboards and a short trail. Did the same thing on the other light YEARS ago, and it's held up fine.


EDITING: I'll defer to @FL_TRD Sport , that seems a better place to start if there might be a known issue!

Hopefully Morimoto will help you out. When I bought the tailgate led light they said it would work for my 22 or but they didn’t have a harness for me to connect the wiring so they just had me return it because they couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t work. Lol But I had to pay for shipping.

 

wow, small amount, but damn that's petty shit to not pay for return S&H, unless they were not advertised for your 22 year.

 

yeah there customer service not that good. The customer service says it should have worked but didn’t know why lol

On a separate note I did emailed them about my headlights whether or not if I should get the LED harness because I had non LED headlights lights and I still haven’t gotten a response back. Lol I figured it out from YouTube.

 

My lights were bought from an American company headlight revolution there customer service is awesome believe me when I say very good customer service they provide me with the light situation however I believe morimoto need to recall these lights and go back to the drawing board with the housing great looking lights but they have a flaw.

 

I agree. I’ve seen several reports of this happening. I’m worried mine will fall out while driving and scratch up my truck. It’s sad that I have to check my $600 tail lights every now and then to make sure they’re still seated properly. They obviously used the cheapest plastic available.
