Those are the ones the guys at my local off-road shop use. They had nothing but great stuff to say about them. It seems like they are basically indestructible.

How are they on pavement? I have to drive several hours to get to any trails. And, my 4Runner is used for other daily driving duties as well. I think I have another season in my Geolander MTs, then I will be looking for another set. I'm happy with the Geolanders, but it was a real close toss-up between those and the Mickey's.

You probably can't go wrong either way there!

IMO they are the best MT tire available performance wise. A little loud. A good MT tire that acts like ATs are the geolanders which wars my first choice. But mickies fell in my lap for 225 a tire and I couldn't pass it up.

Thank you! I love the Geolandars. Just debating if it's worth going more aggressive the next time around.

Sorry about going off topic, y'all.

hey man - to add nuance to our earlier discussion on puncture resistance, it looks like the E load (LT) version of the Baja boss ATs has an extra sidewall “XD” ply in part for added puncture resistance! Thought you may want to know. I called Mickey Thompson today. They also told me the SL load is still pretty fucking tough.

Thank you! I certainly have a lot of options for my next set(s). Luckily, I have plenty of tread left on both current sets, so I have plenty of time to mull things over. :D

I’ve been eyeing these, but the weight of the E load is crazy high. It would be cool if they had a C load to split the difference for our trucks

My issue exactly. Only decent C I can find is Cooper at3 LT… but man what if we could get KO2s, Falkens, Toyos, Grabbers, etc in C load for 265/75/16 — even still I’m leaning heavily to the SL mickeys .. waiting for the tire rack review which Mickey Thompson said is coming out soon

Was hoping they wouldn’t be as loud. May get Toyo instead.

I would not consider them “ loud”, but would not call them “quiet” either ….. if that makes any sense.

I have had my MT Baja Boss AT’s on for about three months and 1500 miles. 265/75R16

I have had Wranglers, BFG KO2 and Discoverer AT3 on my truck in the same size and while they performed fine for me, I decided to give the Mickey train a ride.

I have taken these on multiple trails around the Grand Junction,CO area as well as in the San Juan Mountains. Engineer, Cinnamon, Black Bear, Imogene, etc etc.

I personally do not think I will ever buy a different tire ever again.

On road these tires are very quiet. Not silent by any means but for a tire that is an AT/MT hybrid, they are quiet. Gone is the constant drone of the Wrangler on the street and the overwhelming thrum of the KO2. My discoverers were quieter than both of them but these MTBB’s are on a different level. Road mannerisms are nice. They ride smooth and consistent and while they still have full tread, stopping is very controlled. Rainy or dry these tires handle very well. Haven’t tried them in the snow or ice yet, that’s coming soon.

Offroad, these tires have been nothing short of excellent. High speed gravel/dirt trail runs at 50-70 mph have been solid. Usually aired down to around 15-20psi and they handle like a dream. Both on the straightaways and the curves. They grip like nobodies business and control is great. They allow me to feel that I need to upgrade my OME nitro charger setup as I feel that this is my weak spot now.

In the rocks and passes, again, grippy AF. Going over extremely off camber steps, they have minimal slippage. The traction is amazing and I feel very comfortable running with these.

Again, I feel as though I have found my forever tire. Give them a go. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

    Oh yeah. Love the sidewalls.

Kick ass review. When you said you had Wranglers, are you talking about the stock ones? These are quieter?

They are the Wrangler Duratracs. You can see it in the second picture as I still use it as my spare. Yes, quieter than those.

Again, not silent and don't let anybody tell you they are unless they are at a stoplight, but much quieter outside and inside than what I have used on my Taco in the past.

Sorry for this dumb ass question but like … how loud compared to the stock wranglers? I just don’t have a frame of reference. My rural property is 4.5 hours away so the road noise is a factor.

Damn, I don't know how to answer this

Hum your favorite song right now like nobody is around. Ok, got that level down? Wranglers.

Now, hum that same song like you are in church in the back row. MTBB.
