That land with a payload intact. Yes.

Stealing some thunder from one of Starships flight profiles… Competition is a good thing.

Electron won’t be landing, would have to have a few try vehicle to parachute to the delivery site.

But I think Neutron is supposed to land at least. And capabilities can increase.

    According to this article:

So, who knows. But they won't launch at the end of this month because of Crew-5, and they still haven't decided if they will go in October, November or December.

Yes - the rocket cargo project is point to point delivery. The intent is to be able to deliver supplies in less than an hour anywhere on earth (ICBMs did it in less time than that)

That is certainly one good use of the technology, though not the principal one.

One thing I wonder is that ICBMs deliver their payload with astonishing accuracy- as a consequence their guidance systems are very complex and very accurate. I don't know how accurate these systems can be

The first stage never reaches orbit; it is essentially suborbital. Spacex throws the upper stage away. Blue origin has been landing suborbital rockets for some time and more reliably. NASA landed 5 spacecraft on the moon from lunar orbit with zero failures- and that was in the late 60's early 70's.

SpaceX sure has accuracy issues. Hell, they almost never land dead center on their target. They are typically off be as much as a foot!

Are you saying that BO has been more reliable than SpaceX?

The first stage F9 isn’t intended to reach orbit. Neither is the SH.

To equate BO with what SpaceX has done is laughable to say the least.

No one currently has a SSTO, let alone a reuseable SSTO. SpaceX has landed many suborbital rockets. Hell, they've done 33 launches and recoveries of the first stage so far this year. Starship can get sub-orbital, and has. BO is still stuck on their BE3s and can't seem to deliver on their BE4s. They've taken Captain Kirk and Jeff Bezos to the Karman line, while SpaceX has NASA certified crew modules that regularly send contracted flights to the ISS.
Sheesh! They better just shut down the whole company if ±12" is a bad thing! They used to miss the drone ship entirely!

Spacex uses gps and perfected software and engineering, both of which were improved and calibrated over the course of a 5 year program. Though wildly off initially they seem pretty damn accurate now.

They don’t have to slow down to land, quite the opposite.
Darts are generally more accurately that paper airplanes but that’s not a good analogy since both of these can steer. In any case those accuracy projections are thankfully estimated or we wouldn’t be here. So far, no one, Spacex included and certainly not BO has landed in another hemisphere but I don’t see where your getting the impression that “these systems” are anything but extremly accurate at this point. Anything with terminal guidance has that potential and it’s routinely being demonstrated.

They delayed one of their presentations until the end of September as they may have a working Optimus prototype to show. The chances of them having one capable of walking around the moon by then is not absurd.
