@mZiggy any thoughts about the pricing structure for the tune that will accompany the fuel rails for folks that have purchased the Stryker tune? I know im getting ahead of myself, but it would be good to know if I should even bother daydreaming about it.

Yes. You guys will be quite happy with the plan for the upgrade to the fuel-rail tunes for the existing tuned customers.

Finally updated with the Stryker tune after purchasing on launch day. Just driving normally down the street, I could feel a difference in the transmission and getting on it felt amazing!

It was Paul from PNW Tuning that did the update for me and thank you for getting me the latest version of your tune this weekend.

Just would like to say that you had the option of updating your ECU yourself. There are some excellent resources available on this forum, and the OP for the ECU TSB Update Thread is our Seattle tuner. He is extremely knowledgeable and he or any of us could've helped you through. Just recently helped @Kruuuzn through it as well!

This goes for all of our customers. We understand that the process can be intimidating but it goes smoothly.

All that being said, glad it worked out for you and you're enjoying your tune sir!

    Exactly.

When I found out I had to update the ECU it worried me so much it was almost a deal breaker. I settled myself down, just gathered all the info I could find, organized it into a "newbie cheat sheet", and went through it step by step. On top of that mZiggy and tonered were there with me every step of the way. Whenever I found anything that REMOTELY didn't make sense to me during the process I just stopped, ran it by mZiggy first, and he got right back to me. It was a very pleasant experience.
To anyone concerned about going through this process hit me up. We can talk "newbie to newbie". I can even send you my check list if that will help. So many people on this forum have helped me in the past that I'm always happy to pay it forward.

Now on the Stryker tune: I've only got about 60 miles on the tune and I'm trying to give it the time to settle down but HONESTLY, the first time I stepped on it hard I thought to myself: "My god! I've got a race truck". hahahaha. (I know it's not a race truck but that was the first thing that came to mind).
I'm looking forward to getting a couple of tanks through it and see how it runs then.

Well, I put 41 miles on the tune, topped off the gas tank, and reset the trip meter.

I figured I would drive very easy for awhile and see how the gas mileage is faring. After running back and forth to town several times and running errands around town (I live 10 miles out of town on a road that is not flat or straight) here's what the computer is showing after 100 miles. All the times I've manually checked my gas mileage against the computer the computer has been dead on (that's always amazed me).

I'm pretty stoked. I've NEVER been able to get this kinda gas mileage. Hell, my old 14 year old hand-me-down Rav only gets 19 mpg during the winter months. I can live with this!

I know it's only 100 miles but I figured I better post this now cause I'm not sure how much longer I can keep myself from TROMPING THE GAS. :D

Lol it's okay to indulge in a permanent conversion to smiles per gallon.

Don't worry, we support you and won't judge

I gonna need to look for that “smiles per gallon” setting in my owners manual.

That will be WAY more entertaining to watch!!!

    LOL

They didn't include one, unfortunately. It wasn't part of the 3rd Gen product development. They figured peeps wouldn't notice that it was missing.

@mZiggy after about a month of driving on the BlackHawk tune I cannot imagine going back to OEM tuning or, why I waited so long. I have picked up a couple MPG, and the overall driving experience (Smilies Per Mile) are so much better! Towing is the best part...it stays in gear longer and on the highway in S4 at about 3,200 RPM (70mph) it tows like a truck should! This with the Nitro 4.56 gears is an EXCELLENT combo.
Again, appreciate all your help I could not have made it through the process without your prompt responses and guidance!
Tune with confidence guys, this is the real deal all around.

Anyone able to install this tune in the LA area?

IF not, how hard is this to do for a computer simpleton, I have an old Lenovo windows laptop and the tactrix cable, would it be something I can do without bricking my truck?

The YotaWerx network doesn't have anyone in the SoCal area unfortunately. Our closest networked tuner is in Phoenix, AZ.

The flash process is pretty simple, although you may need to give consideration to your laptop since the software demands of VFTuner could impact its performance during flash. How old is it? What version of windows?

You're a Magnuson supercharger owner correct? Have you already purchased Stryker? Sorry, it's not always easy to associate forum handles with email names.
