What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

The dealer I just traded my 2020 Cement OR with 45k miles on it sold it in 2 days for $41.5k, they gave me $39k trade, but I keep my Tacos mint.

 

Nice, yeah their sales guy really didn't explain the whole Toyota allocation system when I first started my seeking a new truck back in Feb. I attest 3 months of wasted waiting around due to that which ultimately became 8 months till I took delivery.

the only reason why i ended up working with ressler is because i knew EXACTLY what i wanted, and one friday morning, they happened to have EXACTLY what i wanted sitting on the lot, and i didnt have to worry about, or deal with the allocation system, or anything. i just showed up, dest drove it down the street, looked around it, and said "sold" and that was that for it.

I don’t see how it is possible to have a no cut option. That dash structure is just simply in the way. When I ordered it there was no option about no cut that I can remember. Maybe my memory is faded lol but I don’t remember anything about that…maybe you had to talk to them? I just used the web page and ordered it.

It’s not insurmountable, just a little McGyver’n to get it in. There is a bolt below it where you have to make the cuts. If this happens to you, just minimize the cut to preserve that bolts function.

Threw some general grabber a/tx on today. Ride pretty smooth and look killer compared to the junk Goodyears it came with from the factory. Which btw are forsale $300 for the set lol.

 

I’m getting close to ordering some of those. The cabin is 390 miles from my driveway and she starts to complain about 100 miles into the trip. We go about 8-9 times a year so she needs comfy. I can deal with but after almost reading nothing but good reviews I think it’s time

 

Yeah OK, that was why. In order to get the Auxbeam compatible one, there is not a no-cut for what I needed. Which makes sense because the no-cut ones avoid the right side with a button. I needed the one that gave me the Auxbeam, the cargo light switch, 3 buttons and a button to the right of the Auxbeam.

 

No problem. Hope ya got a Dremel

Ionic Factory Style Running Boards (truck came with nothing). I'm sure many of you will hate these but they are exactly what I wanted. Lightweight aluminum, cheap ($239), wide for my dog to use, and a basic SR5 look rather than off-road. Its exactly what I wanted and easy install. Another of my must-have mods checked off.

 

I've also considered the Amazon ones.

Finished up my front lift install. I went for a shameful test drive through the neighborhood thinking I’d be bulldogging. When I got home, I realized it’s not so bad.

Leaf springs go on tonight. Unfortunately, I only ordered 1 set of wheel spacers… live and learn; then wait on another shipment.

For reference, this is 2” Dobinson in the front. 1.25” spacer with 265/75 Duratracs.
