Taco alignment???

Planning on changing my tires to BFG 265/75R16 k02 or falken at3 on my stock 2022 sr taco.....do i need a re-alignment??? Im thinking i do?

No, only reason you’d really need one is if you change anything with your suspension

 

Is OD the same as the size you had before, and did the old tires wear evenly? If no to either, I would get alignment.

 

Hard to say without knowing your current alignment.
If nothing else has changed, increasing the overall diameter of the tire moves the scrub radius to zero; you want a tiny bit of positive scrub radius. The only way to get the positive scrub back using alignment, is with camber. Factory spec is +0.5°. I recommend a camber setting of zero.

I assume you are the original owner...Have you had alignment since purchase? If not, yeah, get an alignment.

 

New truck with less than 400 miles on it now!
Dont like the original 245/75R16....and my neighbor wants my tires.....so perfect opportunity to upscale to larger tires and get some $$$ back from factory ones!!!!

 

I'd give it 500 miles on the new tires and then have it aligned; give the bushings a chance to settle. Factory alignment sucks.

 

i changed mine with UCAs and stuff because i like how it drives with caster in the 4° range. different strokes.

 

Anytime you change the height of the vehicle angles will change.
If the tires aren’t much taller than the stock ones then you’re probably fine. You will have a change in toe if it goes up or down an inch or two.

 

You don't need one, but I would get one if you have not had one for a while so that the tires are more likely to wear more evenly. I usually get an alignment 1-2 times per year. Its a lot of money to buy tires now a days.
