Im still a noob to my Tacoma, but I gotta think that 20x12's even with a 3" lift is gonna rub...badly. No?
Sounds like an invitation to chasing down multiple problems down the road.
But at least you know what you like and the look your going for, so good luck.

Lol. You should have stated more clearly what your question was in the first post and saved everyone from doing math for you.

This was a mindbender for me to learn: If you are doing more than mallcrawling, a lift doesn't matter for tire size. If you're gonna stuff it up there, the tire still needs to clear.

Lol yes but Canada rules are the same in the north or south so that's why it doesn't make sense ‍♂️

It's TW and we're trying to explain 1/2in / 12mm of offset. Makin' nonsense is all part of it.

Now, I'm not understanding this, but hey, I guess we're even?

Lift won't help unless you lift it 6" and cut the frame.

Just frustrated/ flailing....no way I'm lifting it just for deeper inset wheels..I may eventually lift it 2" or 3" ...that'll be tge max for me!!!

It may just be those particular wheels that just don't look the way I thought they would....hoping there's wheels that look good at that -12 or 0 depth...

    Guess I'll keep looking.....

I'm looking for 17x9 -12 machined with black accents,or machined only...

I actually like the look of the TRD PRO 17x9 -12 wheel...Just wish it was machined.

    Prefer a 5 to 6 spoke wheel.

What "look" are you going for? -44mm offset is gonna rub like a mother with the a 2 or 3" lift without cutting or trimming the fender well and or the cabin mount. Generally, more negative offset gives you more wheel "poke" or "lip" ,as others have said, beyond the fender.

Not the rims. How do you want the truck to sit? Poke? There are a ton of pictures on TW, find one you like and ask how to match it.
