It won't help; the order came from Toyota Canada Corporate. Bringing up his contact information (name, address) would flag him to not be sold a vehicle to, hence blacklisted.

 

When I was looking for a Pro, and buying out of province (state) especially, cash was a no-deal. That was a red flag for some dealers that the truck might just be being bought to be flipped. If it's already a concern for the dealer then cash won't be a silver bullet for you.

 

If you lease a vehicle the leasing company owns the vehicle and you basically "rent" it from them. It's titled in the leasing company's name. If you buy the vehicle and finance it you are the owner and you give the lender a security interest in your vehicle. In paper title states the lender holds the title and then cancels the lien and sends it to you when you pay it off, but the title is in your name from day 1. Florida is an electronic title state, so the lender just reports the lien satisfaction to DMV. You can then request the title be printed and sent to you. Your auto lender does not own your vehicle until you pay it off. There is no title change when you pay the loan off. You own it.

 

Screw Toyota. Just go buy a Frontier Pro4X instead. At least it comes with a modern transmission in it.

 

Let your wife/girlfriend/brother/ or some other family member buy it then sell it to you.

 

Try not paying your loan for a few months and see who really owns the vehicle.

 

So I guess it’s time to come to the US and buy one here. Hope the exchange rate is favorable.

 

Doesn’t matter. Apparently this is straight from corporate, the dealer doesn’t matter, it’s well above the dealer level. My best chance I feel to possibly get this resolved is to continue to work with my dealer I am currently working with. They are the ones that bought out the lease my 22 pro auto.

To me the whole things is beyond comprehension to be honest. There are dealers out there that are straight up raising the price of a Tacoma 10k above msrp and nothing happens.

 

With my luck Toyota Canada would void the warranty.

 

Show up at the showroom, and see what it takes to get kicked out, and banned from the dealership.

 

but they’re authorized dealers operating inside a designated market - controlled by Toyota.
