Raptor lights are not working

Hey, I just tried installing raptor lights I got from Tacoma Lifestyle.

Followed instructions and tapped into 10A H-LP RH-L0 fuse.
When I turn my headlights on, passenger headlight along with raptor lights do not work.

When I unplugged the raptor lights and put 10A fuse back in, my headlights work again.

I'm running aftermarket LEDs for my low beams (projector housing). Do you think things are just getting overloaded?

I made sure everything is tightened really well.
I'm going to watch few more videos and try again this weekend.

 

Seconded. That or an open in the wiring. Have you even tested continuity?

 

I don't have a multimeter but my stepdad is an electrician. I'm going to ask him for help this weekend and report back .

How are you tapping into the headlight fuse? If you're using an Add-A-Fuse, are both fuse spots used up (one with the original headlight fuse and the other for the raptor lights)?

 

I just realized something this video may have not mentioned. There are couple of fuse spots on the add-a-fuse and I had couple of fuses left that came with the lights. Video didn't mention anything about plugging extra fuses. I was under impression it was just spares.
I will give that a try.

 

Both fuses are required. One is for the original circuit and the other is for what you're powering with the add-a-fuse.

 

That might be it. I will try it tomorrow again .

also check that you are putting the addafuse in the right way, you want the wire to point to the fused side. Ask your Dad.
